I personally, can't play any video games anymore. I personally cannot control them. Not trying to discourage anything, but I feel like even if the games are clean, they are addictive. I now prefer activities that include creativity and productivity, such as drawing and making music.

Now, I do still like characters from video games, but I won't play the games with them anymore. Maybe I should write about Mario and Luigi becoming Christians... :D

Now, joking aside, this verse comes to my mind.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

I am not sure how ya can do that with video games. Not trying to be a pharisee towards this community's gamers, but I personally believe it has harmed my life greatly and I regret having spent hundreds of dollars on it...

I love them, and I try my best not to put them higher on my priority list than they should be sometimes I don’t do very good at that. And I wind up putting video games above things like family and Jesus. It’s something I’m working on

I love video games. We usually play together too.
I dont regret it. I don't allow it to become a addiction

I play occasionally when I have time but just like with anything, don’t let it become an addiction.

I use to spend a fair amount of time on video games. Probably an hour a night or so. But now since I have given my life to the lord, I only allow my self a few hours on one Saturday each month. They collect dust more then anything. I'd much rather be reading my Bible or going to church to hang out there and try fixing things.

Not at all. You make some valid points. And yes, games can be addictive, and that is really the problem. It made me think about how much time I have "invested" in them. Thanks for the post.

Why should we limit our mission field? Can't you display Christ's character even while playing games? A light is always a welcome sight anywhere one might find darkness, no?

invent a "Christian" video game series!!! any video game, as long as it's not unchristian, sharpens the reflexes, reaction, alertness 7 is productive time.

So far i'm not enjoying the Ac Creed Mirage game because the whole Muslim theme.
On the previous game the woke-brigade were pushing trans themes and on this game they're pushing Muslim themes.
I don't know which one is worse.

The Muslims have done a bad copy/paste of the Bible and they think that Jesus didn't die ... the whole thing was a conspiracy by the Romans or whoever.
So they were the first flat-earthers and conspiracists usually ruin a good time.

Then on the other hand you have the clown world people who want you to call them a zebra despite seeing a human.
Not sure how much longer i'll play this game.

Maybe when they re-do the Prince of Persia again - without the politics - i'll see if i'll like that one.

I agree. I used to be a very avid video game player. Spent alot of time, energy, funds etc on these things. Since then I have sold everything, gotten rid of it and now live a life spiritually disciplined for the Lord. I struggle enough without having that kind of influence in my life, spiritual warfare is real. Most of the videos games have magic, demonic occultism in it encouraging and downplaying that it's really that bad. But it is that bad. Satan definitely got a beachhead in my life. God, Himself tells us to come out of this not being in mixed/mingled with paganism ideology. I agree that we are to be the salt and the light for Christ but not to the extend of compromising and indulging in that which promotes occultic and idolatry [the high when you play games and various games have some form of paganism, demonic occultism, mysticism, spiritualism, idolatry in them]. When you truly see where the rabbit hole goes. Name one that doesn't have magic, or spells, or witches, or wizards, or demons, or superpowers, or money has a focal point, covetousness [I want more, need to get more - it exposes and allows you to practice these sinful behaviors. I learned so much and my daughter [also was an avid gamer] both of us were delivered by God's grace. I can't even go back without having a physical respond [wanting to puke]. I know I could be praying, studying God's Word more - nearly 80% of all Christians don't read their Bible every day or haven't read their Bible [that was me, I was very convicted]. Matthew 6:22

That's just my own testimonial and my daughter's. Not intended to preach anyone - just giving my own testimony about the subject.

I sure can understand why some cannot play Video games!! They consume both time and the person. At 70 years of age, I still do play some of them, the reason is some games keep my mind fresh and my fingers nimble. lol BUT!!! I do watch the clock, because to me the Lord does want more of one's time!!

One can become out of balance if the world takes up more time, then you give to the Lord! In these days the World has become a whole lot different than when I was a kid! I truly feel sorry for the young people of today! They do not wish to deal with the real world anymore, and hid in their bedrooms playing video games, when they really should be outside playing with other children learning and growing as we once did.

Because sooner or later they will have to deal with outsiders, hence why many young people have become lazy and cannot hold a job for long. NOT ALL!! I said some! So, I see both sides here. Life can never become full without our Jesus! I had to learn this the hard way, I do not want you to!! Blessing to you all through our Lord Jesus!

I really got into MYST on windows as I loved those kind of detective solving puzzles and it had a a mysterious beautiful island in which to play it on.

Otherwise I’m not much of a gamer in the fighting sense.
