Hezbollah has said they will join the fight. This is going to get interesting. Ezekiel 38 coming up.

Coincidentally (or not), as I was waiting for my computer to start up after getting home
from work, I opened my Bible to a random page that read:
“How can there be peace,”
Jehu replied, “as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?”
Your point being?

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— Matt 24:15

Jesus was talking about a BUILDING! made by humans
Yep that happened in 70 AD

"“The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about—the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.” (Reader, pay attention!) “Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. Matt 24:15-18

Jesus was not talking about 70 AD. There was no way for anyone to see inside the temple. "the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place." this did not happen in 70 AD. There will be a 3rd temple. The ability to see inside the Holy of Holies has only been possible in the last 70 years, with the invention of TV cameras and cell phones.

But according to Scripture, the temple will be rebuilt by the middle of the Tribulation. Paul foresaw a day when the Antichrist will sit "as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" (2 Thessalonians 2:4). In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus referred to the restored temple and its desecration: "When you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place... then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.... For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matthew 24:15-16, 21).
hi John, my name is Pam and I’m new here to the forum.. i’m a new member and this reply that you did I found very interesting. I was reading the Scriptures and the full chapters on first and second Thessalonians and Matthew chapter 24 and 25. I’m a Christian and I believe the whole Bible, even though I don’t know it inside and out, you seem very knowledgeable and I enjoyed reading your reply. I learned a lot.. I would like to know if in the Bible, you know where it talks about the mark of the beast getting the 666, and where you won’t be able to buy or sell food.. also, I’d like to know in the Bible in revelations where it talks about what Hells gonna be like.. i’d appreciate it if you’d get back to me on that. Sorry to go off the topic guys but I’m new and just learning how this works. Thanks, Pam. I’m enjoying reading this forum on the news and to hear all your opinions. It’s very informative for me and it really helps. Have a great evening and again I’m sorry to go off topic.

Also, John I would like to start a conversation with you regarding the Bible since You seem to know a lot about it.. I might come up with some questions that you might be able to help me with . If you have the time I’d like you to start a conversation with me because as of now I’m not able to do that on my own, I have to apparently have so many post and I don’t have that yet.. I was told by another member that a member such as yourself could start a conversation with me. I look forward to hopefully hearing from you. Thanks again for your time.

What need is there for a temple? That system was ended with Jesus' perfect sacrifice
God's ways are not our ways, neither are His thoughts our thoughts. It has been God's plan all along to redeem and restore Israel and Jerusalem eventually. A part of that plan is to build the fourth temple in Jerusalem and "God will be there".

This is all within the fact that the supreme and perfect sacrifice of Christ nullified the Old Covenant and the second temple. But this future temple will be under the New Covenant. Christians cannot really understand the reason at the present time, but it is a part of re-establishing SAVED JEWS out of the twelve tribes of Israel in what will be "Greater Israel" (stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates). This was promised to Abraham a long time ago. Study the prophecy of Ezekiel. By the same token I do not believe that Ezekiel 38 will be fulfilled at this time. I believe that is still in the future.

Out of curiosity, at this point in this war is their any evidence where Israel has ask God for his blessing or help that you know of?

Not that I know of. But there are (a) saved Jews in Israel who are growing in numbers and surely they would be praying for help and (b) there are Orthodox Jews in Israel who believe that they are praying to God but still have not been saved. But the nation-state of Israel is in unbelief, yet God helps them, even though Jewry as a whole rejected Christ. We cannot really explain this other than the grace of God.

This war is about to get very interesting. GOD will protect Israel. If the Hamas and Hezbollah are defeated, Israeli will have peace. Ezekiel 38 will be next.
I know it's one of those popular beliefs that the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 will be fulfilled in current day Israel but the conditions of Israel today definitely do not correspond with the conditions of the Land as described in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy:::

(Ezekiel 38:10-11) "Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: {11} And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,"

This is definitely not the state of affairs in today's state of Israel.. Israel is known for it's walls dividing the land.. How insecure the Jews are living in the land..

I believe the war prophecised in Ezekiel 38 is the same battle revealed in the Book of Revelation chapter 21..

(Revelation 20:8-9) "And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. {9} And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them."

Yes it did happen in 70 ad, when soldiers used the temple as a fortification, and also when the Roman standard was placed there.before they decided to completely destroy the temple

There can never be a holy place in a temple because because Jesus is our Holy place and we the Christians are the temple. Do you not know that you are the temple of God? Any temple built today would be an afront to Christ and therefore can not be holy. Jesus is our Holy of Holies and the final sacrifice. So it would be a direct assault and insult to Christ to build such a temple and then sacrifice animals there, and therefore it would be blasphemey and therefore not holy.

Also the whole temple description, especially the trickle of water that flows out from the alter and becomes a mighty river just beyond the temple that then flows into the sea and desalinates it. And the tree of life grows on its banks. This is clearly not a human made temple.

Jesus is right and you are wrong. He said those things would happen in this generation, that would be those to whom he was speaking, and lo and behold some 40 years later there it was. The thing Jesus said right before their eyes.
