Hello Pamela, it looks like you understand how to reply to a post. Starting a new thread is similar, just pick a board that you'd like to start your new thread on, click on the big blue "Post Thread" button on the top right side of the page, add a title and then write the OP/Original Post.
When you are done writing the title and the body of the OP, click on the blue "Post Thread" button on the bottom center of the page and you will have created your new OP/thread (or click on the "Preview" button to see what it will look like prior to posting it .. just FYI, there is an edit button, but for both new threads and replies, you have a grand total of 5 minutes to make the needed changes and not a second more, so the preview button is actually quite helpful).
As far as navigating about the boards, click on "Christian Forums" at the top of this page and you will be taken to the homepage. There you should see to short lists on the right side of the page of the most recent posts and threads, and there you will also see all of the various boards to check out and post on (where you can create new threads or reply to ones that are already in existence, just like you did in this thread).
