Is there anyone named Judas?
How common is the name Judas for a baby born in 2021?

Judas was the 4330th most popular boys name.
In 2021 there were only 23 baby boys named Judas.
1 out of every 80,898 baby boys born in 2021 are named Judas.

How likely is an individual named Judas to meet another Judas?

Assuming the same birth rate and naming preferences as those in 2021,
in a group of 10,000 individuals we would expect 0 boys named Judas.

In other words, if an individual with the name Judas meet 10,000 individuals over the course of his or her
lifetime, he or she would have a 6.121% probability of meeting at least one boy with the same given name.

With an average elementary class size of 482 in the US, an individual with the name
Judas would have a a 0.302% probability of going to school with a boy named Judas.

That poor girl had a lot to put up with.
Didn't they all? Sarah and Rachel had to share their husband (although it was Sarah's fault in her case), and Rebekah married a man she'd never met before. Maybe as the names are still common today, but I like them compared to others (e.g. Orpah, Bilhah, Zilpah). Tziporah has a nice sound - sort of exotic, but also it makes me think of saphire. She also saved her husband's life (who is one of my favourite bible heroes), so the original Tziporah was a heroine too.

Must be too early for me. At first I thought you said Tziporah was on heroin too...

Didn't Michael Pence get nicknamed Judas after he betrayed Trump in 2020, and now he can't even get together 15 supporters? Lol. I think Judas is probably one of the least popular names, down the bottom of the pile with Adolf, Hitler and Satan.

A child with the name Hercules would be cool, hopefully they won’t end up effeminate.:coffee::)
That's for sure!

I think they are looking for a Bible name though. 😉
I used to have an African friend named Samson. As long as they don't take a lifelong Nazarite vow and give him a haircut, there should be no problem.

I told a group of ladies once " I would like to have a boy some day. And his name shall be Noah."

I was wondering why they looked at each other with dismay.
I was a student in Yorkshire, England back in the day and they said “Noah” for “No”.

There was an English lady there too, so maybe that's what she thought I meant.

When I said, His name shall be Noah.
Someone else said, I think that depends on what his mother decides too !!
