Can We All Find our Soulmate Somewhere In Between Dodging Zombies at Halloween and Fruitcake at Christmas?

Agreed, surely there must be a better way than leaving people with serious mental illnesses on the street.

It's a tough issue. I was reading about the history of the institutions, and the critics. Currently the general standard for involuntary institution is being a danger to others or oneself, which is a very high standard. Per some of the most influential critics finding a lower standard than that... one of determining someone is mentally ill to the level they should be involuntarily instituted is very difficult, and also a scary slippery slope of civil rights.

Like you mentioned, I can't stand the "scary" halloween ads on tv. Out here the amusement parks always advertise their haunted houses and they get more grotesque every year. Good thing I don't watch much tv.

They don't actually scare me. I just find the images disturbing, like seeing victims of a horrible accident or something.

Try looking for a solemate, one whose foot is nearly an exact match for yours if you press the two together.

This idea might be welcomed by big-footed single women who are desperate to find husbands.

Oh, and also for men with small feet who really can't find wives.

This could be the basis for a reality TV show, where couples date and may not see each other, just press bare feet together to see if they match with a wall in between, and use that as a criteria for proposing marriage. It could be called 'Sole Mate." My guess is that more couples would be together after five years than on that show where they are matched by 'experts.'

Can't be worse than that show where people guess who their real fathers are. "Who's Your Daddy?"

Make it a date instead of a marriage proposal though. If they get to date the person their feet match, you might have a real show here.
