This is a thread about what you are up to today or recently. It can be a bible verse. It can be the old car you are trying to fix. Or the weather. Or your grandkids. Or an illness. Or your recent anniversary trip. Or a recent church gathering. Or recent witnessing to others. Or whatever.

I'm currently donating blood. I only do it for the free orange juice and chocolate chip cookie. I wonder what I can get for some toenail clippings?

I am currently here on this site. Last night I made a quick trip to the gym. Later, I will job-hunt.

Is the strike not settled?
I believe it has been, but ramping up and renewing contracts may not go as quickly as desired. Or, go at all, if those clients lost too much revenue during the wait.

Charlie Kirk questions the idea of retirement, as it is known in America, saying it does not seem Biblical. However, I earnestly desire to do so. The working world has not been kind to me -- despite my team-minded personality, communication skills, integrity, etc. I am so done with it. I want a divorce from the working world once and for all.

Well, I am retired, with no regrets! I am involved in a jail ministry and Awana at church. And I don't sleep well, so retirement allows me to get in my naps. Otherwise I keep plenty busy.

Today, I tried to fix my 2008 Toyota Corolla, replacing the neutral safety switch that seemed to go bonkers and not allow my car to get beyond 1st gear, but then "fixed itself". The part was seized on with corrosion and I quit before I really messed things up and made an appointment to have it done.

You can have it, but for many the name of that divorce is poverty.
Pray about a different line of work in a state that has a lower standard of living.

I just ended about a 4 1/2 hour Bible study with another member here over the phone.

I am heading out for some groceries now, and then back to work tomorrow.

All work and no play makes me a dull boy, I guess, but there is plenty of work to be done.

I've been trialling my new toy this afternoon - a new carpet shampooer. Cleanliness is next to godliness, right? I never used to be house-proud until I became a Christian, being transformed into a Biblical wife, perhaps. Cleaner mind, too.
I was listening to the radio earlier. Serbia is moving its military to the Kosovan border, so I've been praying for wisdom for the leaders there & peace to continue (BBC Radio 4 News tonight).
Now, I'm spending a few hours on here while I do some loom-knitting. Made the cuppa tea, just need the music...

I know that if I pursued that, I'd have poverty. Sheesh. Why do you think I feel the way I do? Because I'm trapped between a rock and a hard place.

Anyway... as of now, I am in job ads, and later I plan to watch some stuff on my DVR, the height of my day.

Oh geez... now Serbia.. LOL. It never ends.

Hey... if I pay you, would you shampoo my computer room rug?? I hate it, but can't afford to have it replaced with a hard-wood floor right now.

Serbia? No worries, God's in control. Lots of prayers ascending.

Hmm, yes... I'd love to identify as a retired person, but my wallet is shockingly narrow minded.

I'm up to about five feet, seven inches.

Okay, old, bad joke. Ahem...

I'm playing Fallout 4, because it was finally released DRM-free. Survival mode turns it into an open-world stealth game, and stealth action games are my favorite, so I'm having a blast.

MY current goal is to always think on things Beautiful, pure, kind and more always on the good. My main thought is to always think of God for He is Good and He will direct me further, however, I am not an island standing alone, so your prayers are welcomed and needed. God bless all who do, and all who do not, amen.

I'm shampooing all my carpets, just done the main hall. I can see what colour the carpet is now lol
I'm listening to The Appalachian Storyteller on YouTube whilst I loom knit a lap blanket for the local hospice charity shop.
Our family Bible study will be sometime this afternoon. We're working through Luke & Pilgrim's Progress.

Yes, my rug. Oh don't worry about it. I'm just joshin' ya. I'd like to rip this thing up and out and replace with a hardwood floor. But, I need income first.

Saturday is town dump day. Took a few large bags plus a large trash can with recycle stuff. Runs us about $6 a month which is not bad.

Getting tools and materials ready for Monday when I help my son put a sump pump in a very wet, very muddy crawl space, a task I don’t look forward to! I will wear some clothes I can change out of and discard.

I remember back when I was a kid, hardwood floor was what poor people had. Rich people had wall to wall carpet, which was what everybody else dreamed of having.

Now wall to wall carpet is what poor people have, while rich people are making everybody else jealous by getting hardwood floors.
