Correct me if I'm wrong. The mid Acts folks believe there are two gospels. One from the 12 and is the kingdom gospel and one from Paul that is the grace gospel. After Jesus sent out the 11 to proclaim the gospel, we see they did it immediately after receiving the Holy Spirit.

Could someone from the mid Acts camp give book and chapter where Paul first preached the grace gospel?

I hope that you like to fish because you are about to open a giant can of worms here.

There has always been only one gospel, and, hopefully, you already understand this.

Pretty much every other day around here I discover some new idea I've never heard of in the Bible.

if you like, you can research Mid-Acts Dispensationalism, aka hyperdispensationalism.

again... it's a pretty big IF :D

Nah, that won't happen. I prefer to go to the horse's mouth.
oh, i agree! when i come across a new idea such as this one, i don't go to "i hate hyperdispensationalism dot com". :sneaky:

i go to sites that agree with the position to see what they believe. compare it to Scripture and pray. then make a conclusion.
ps-- i'm not a dispensationalist of any stripe, and i probably ought not be posting in this thread. mea culpa

Paul witnessed the one gospel of the kingdom Jesus sent to all people

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is no grace apart from the gospel and what Jesus offered sinners who repent and believe

Drop the "other" from your comment, and I totally agree with you.
I think we should consider that people have legitimate questions …probably belittling the question or statement is not the best.

If we have an answer it should be submitted to the best of our knowledge, in love …that is what we in the Body are supposed to do. Because…. not everybody knows what you know … we have to remember where we came from.

My intent was not to belittle legitimate questions.

Instead, I was referring to the beliefs that some seemingly seasoned veterans cling to which have no basis in scripture whatsoever. That is about all that I have to say on that matter.

Explain more what the term "mid Acts folks" means. What is "mid Acts," in the middle of the Book of Acts or what?

I thought your response #2 was good ….

I obviously misunderstood your #5 and I apologize …

Joh 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Paul did not teach anything different than Jesus.

Although Paul might have covered some things that the Bible does not have Jesus saying to that extent but they are still in line together.

Rom 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Paul taught the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as the Gospel, and grace came by Jesus Christ so He would have known that and taught it.

Grace was in the Old Testament like when Noah found grace in God's eyes it is not something that came about when Paul started preaching.

There is and only ever has been 1 gospel. Paul taught the same gospel as the other disciples. It only takes a basic read of the text to understand that.

Then you would have to go to the writings of E. W. Bullinger (from the 19th century). Mid-Acts Dsipensationalism is also called "Bullingerism" or Hyper-Dispensationaliism. It's amazing how this very learned man messed up the dispensations.

There are some who believe that Jesus sent the 12 apostles out to the Jews and Paul out to the Gentiles and that each preached a different gospel.

If I understand them correctly, they feel the gospel for today was hidden until Paul was the one to reveal it, after his conversion in mid Acts.
