Saturday 7-22-23 7th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, AV 4 5783, 32nd. Summer Day

1 Kings 8

1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

4 And they brought up the ark of the Lord, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.

5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.

7 For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.

9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

It's interesting to me this thread,

Why is an oracle associated with the ark,

And what is the oracle ?.

Is the oracle an extension of the ark

Could Noah be the gate keeper of the oracle.

Or a guardian of the oracle, and is the heavenly ark the oracle

The oracle is the ark.

I'm sorry....the above is wrong.
The oracle is the Holy of holies....where the High Priest would go to get a message from God.

What the "holy of Holies" meant is that the second level of Holiness was there.

A place kinda scary because entering it without being at the second level yourself would mean instant death.

Meaning they would drag your body out by the rope tied to your ankle and there wouldn't be any prophesy that year. (Happened a LOT before they got it right after the diaspora) A LOT of preparations went into preparing the high priest before he could enter....he had to live a life of strict disciplines dedicated to entering the Holy of Holies.

God is holy of the holy of the holy....a level of holiness that is so reactive to error (man) that you would have no chance at survival. Which is why we need Jesus.

Thanks for trying to help, I'm a bit mythed by this,

Was God who was in the temple an oracle God ?

Was the oracle a reflection of God in light form in the sense it was God, set in the form of light of a place for communication.

So God can appear as an oracle God.

But I take others meaning from oracle to be something other than the type of ark, than the ark of the covenant

Oracles are the word of God
there's seems be something a miss with it just meaning that, from other scripture.

Does noah have connection to the oracle ?

Could Noah talk to the animals

Did noah ever sin ?

And is there any chance noah is the father of heaven ?.

I think that was Dr. Dolittle?
how did noah gather all the animals from the four corners of the world

Or was the gathering just local

Because how do you account for kangaroos in Australia

Why do you think Noah did it?
Why doesn't your mind go to God doing all this, first?

He didn't. Genesis 7:15~ Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.

because it says the lord was speaking to noah.

So it could be noah is God father,

and Jesus is the lord God to.

I just wonder if the missing ark is that we should pray to noah to.

There's clear something missing in the bible

I just wonder in the old testament was it reversed where by Jesus stayed in heaven and the father came down.

The phrase, " the oracle of the house" is connected to the place where God would speak.

6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.

I, categorically disagree with the notion that there's anything missing from the Bible... I think that God gave us all that we need to know.
Yes, there's clearly some questions that I have too... but when we start thinking, like you are now, I can predict nothing but trouble. While it's fine to wonder about such things... but when it takes you down roads that lead us away from the basic principles found in the Bible... I don't want to go there. It's a shame to watch folks wander off into fantastical thinking...

check this out
Jeremiah 23:33-40
Now when this people or the prophet or a priest asks you saying, ‘What is the oracle of the Lord?’ then you shall say to them, ‘What oracle?’ The Lord declares, ‘I will abandon you.’ Then as for the prophet or the priest or the people who say, ‘The oracle of the Lord,’ I will bring punishment upon that man and his household. Thus will each of you say to his neighbor and to his brother, ‘What has the Lord answered?’ or, ‘What has the Lord spoken

Isaiah 30.6
The oracle concerning the beasts of the Negev.
Through a land of distress and anguish,
From where come lioness and lion, viper and flying serpent,

This speaks of a lion bringing the oracle.

Was noah that lion.

Because God the father is know as a lion

And noah brought the rescue ark and a new covenant. That led people to Christ.

The bible say only the father can lead you to Christ.

And the ark of the covenant is referenced as being brought befor the oracle

Expand your thoughts... what did I say that causes concern?
Nothing! Well, nothing of concern to a sane person... and/or one grounded in the Word.

It may be of concern to someone who is loosey-goosey, though.

A shame, yes. But pretty much business as usual.
wonder is also a key that connects with the wonders of God.

It's where beautiful imagination can become full of the imagination of whatever God can give, and based on your capacity to store such marvel.

I have something called a photo graphic memory and really quite something extraordinarily wonderful, where by I can see a whole text in my mind. Or recall every image I saw from a day weeks ago.

Sometimes I go a little haywire but I guess that's because my brain is a marvel that needs to switch off from my extraordinary abilities 😊

Which I can only conclude must be a God given gift

But once again thanks for chitter chatter.

I don't know what type of birds you are but I know I have the sight of an eagle and the heart of dove.

And I have shoulders as strong as a swan.

And I would say the mind of an wise owl, who never reveals there trumps,

There's a wonderful saying that you can be elevated, and I'm sure you all have been,

I recall one day I saw my friend through a golden eagle doing there garden what they where waring clothes wise, what they where doing.

i phoned her, and I told her what had just happen and she said wow and confirmed what I saw her doing and what she was wearing, she then said I ran in to house to get my dad because we had never seen a golden eagle up here before 😂

Isn't that marvelous.

The extraordinary thing is I had just prayed to God for the safety of my friend
