You are a mailman, so you probably have had far more dog attack encounters than I have.
A new neighbor down the street has 2 large vicious dogs. This is the second time that they ran from their yard and up the street after me. I turned to face them to kick until the owner called them back. One was a rottweiler and the other a little bigger.
They could easily kill a child or woman.
Do you know of anything legal to get rid of them? There's a leash ordinance, but that's all that I can think of right now.
Have you found pepper spray to be very effective in your experience?

The pepper spray they issue us is not very strong, but it's somewhat effective against dog attacks. It saved me from getting bit on one occasion.

These dogs might like spicy food. My expandable batons are stuck open and S&W lifetime warranty doesn't apply since they no longer sell them. That was my first choice. I just haven't used pepper spray on dogs.

Don't want to end up like salsa and chips or this.😄

some gun related news for my State of Nebraska. Sen.Brewer who is one of our local war hero’s in Nebraska has been trying to get his bill passed in the unicameral for years finally succeeded. Pretty unheard of Government giving power and freedom back to the citizens. But it happened.

Praise the Lord!
He caused West Virginia to be one of the first in what I call Biblical carry laws. They don't give us anything. What they do is to remove restrictions that God did not place on weapons carry. Those of us who don't commit crimes should have the means to carry any weapon we wish to defend against the criminals who carry any weapons they wish .

Part 2

I like to walk and do a little running cardio cross fit training. This evening I was walking down the street and didn't even notice until it was within biting range. A totally different big dog ran out of the yard and nearly tore into me. There was a group watching a game outside and the owner finally got control as it kept lunging for an opening.

no need to ban guns. what they should do is ban certain people from having guns. like criminals and pshycos... but until they work out who those people are . hmmmm i think we stuck
