So we all know that God can speak to us in any way He so chooses to do right? Well I just wanted to share something with everyone, at the time I didn't know He was speaking to me. However, one day, we had some really very strange and rare weather here. Super strong wind and extreamly heavy rain, like ''sideways'' rain as it's called.
Thunder and lightening, the whole deal. Major storm, that lead to flooding here. I mean flooding that went from just being in a body of water onto dry land, the water under the bridges, almost touched the bridge, and so on.
So anyways moving on, I was really praying during this storm, and I got to thinking this reminds me of how God prepares us for the ''storms'' of life, but at the same time little did I know that it was a message from God to me!
Little did I know that just a few days or so after that strong storm, something would happen that would call for my faith in God to be tested sort of. I'm not going to get into what that is, it's sort of personal I guess, a family issue.
I now realize God was saying to me "stand strong and tall child, don't back down, pray, seek my face, keep your faith". The flooding reminds me of how God blesses us so much, how our cup over flows. Psalm 23:5 tells us "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."
The lightening is like saying He is our light, and the thunder like His voice and strength. So powerful and loud at times, yet so soft and gentle at other times. The flooding reminds me also of how the Lord will lift us up upon a rock for saftey, how He's our refuge from the storms in life.
It's so amazing how we notice these things about others when it happens to them, but when it's for us, we tend to not really notice it as much until going through something, or until we've already gone through it. The storm passed over, and the sun shinned. Reminds me of "this too shall come to pass" and this situation with a family member and I shall pass. God promised to never give us more than we couuld bear, and HE NEVER BREAKS A PROMISE!
In fact, for my part, the storm has passed, the other person, they need prayer, keep this in mind if you will. Thanks for reading this!
God bless!
