is tithing the way out of poverty?
Probably (or should we say certainly) for the preachers who harp on this for their own benefit. "The message of many televangelist revolves around the concept of seed faith, in which money is the seed for your faith. By donating money to these televangelists, you are showing your faith to God. They highly stress tithes, even saying that not tithing is equivalent to robbing God...And while televangelists may use this verse to tell you to give more in order to show that you don't love money, the issue here is that these televangelists are manipulating people into giving them money because THEY love money. And they show their love for money and material goods by buying 10 million dollar homes and 60 million dollar jets for personal use (although some claim it's for use by the "church").

First off we are not under a law of tithing. Second If one bother to read about the tithe, it was never money. There was no provision to give money. It was always product of farming, sheep, grain, wine so fourth. Even carpenters gave of their garden/farms. Also it was only heads of house holds, not servants or slaves or hired help.
We have something better now. We are able to give money, everyone who earns a wage can give and we can give according to our prosperity. And God does provide our needs when and makes a way as we give. But there is no promise to make one rich in worldly goods or money. The word say be content with food and clothes, Paul said he knows how to go without and to abound. All prosperity teachers are liars and false and pierce many through with thier false teaching.

Are you asking if God will bless you monetarily if you tithe? Maybe, or maybe not. But, you will feel "rich" in various ways.

IF ones goal of tithing is to get out of poverty their heart is not tin the right place.

What is the reasoning behind your question? I don't fully understand what it means.
It's called a loaded question. The OP isn't asking for the purpose of learning new information, but rather to initiate a conversation to convince others of his (erroneous) position.

He is a "disciple" of Kenneth Copeland so if you give Copeland $100 you should get back $1,000. But not from Copeland.:p

No, it is not. Even in the assumption that the church is a legitimate part of the body of Christ, no tithing is not a way out of poverty nor is that the purpose of tithing. Work is the way out of poverty as many of the Proverbs detail. Certain sins are the pathway into poverty as well; namely the sins of drunkenness/drug use, slothfulness, and fornication will all lead to poverty. To get out of poverty therefore you must combine the ideals of increasing your industriousness while simultaneously repenting of poverty-inducing sins and vices. If you do this then you shall surely escape from poverty. There is nothing wrong with tithing of course if you are able, but, no, it is not the way out of poverty.

I tithe because Im content with what I have. I am content with food and rainment. then if God blesses me with wealth I am content with that.

One gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds what is right, only to become poor. 25A generous soul will prosper, and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. proverbs 11:24
Tithes is not a freewill offering. Tithes is not giving freely.

Luk 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Giving isn't a matter of wealth but a matter of faith. If you give that you might get, you are giving selfishly. If you give out of a sense of duty, you only obey the letter of the law and not the spirit of the law. If you give because your delight in God overflows to others, out of you flows rivers of living water.

is tithing the way out of poverty?
In the OT it was a way out of poverty, in the NT GIVING is the way out of poverty.

Let all India hear

"Give and it shall be given you again good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will men put into your lap. With the measure you mete shall it be meted you again"

Let folks deny the word of the Lord if they will.
