I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed in these times that so many hearts are waxing cold? Don’t know if people see the seclusion of friends, family or even strangers. Is it the result of lockdowns or literally signs of the times. People that I thought I knew for decades.... I really don’t know. I believe, sadly, that more and more people are plagued with loneliness....including myself. I raised 3 step children from a very young age for 18 years and I never see them. The 2 good friends I have rarely hear from. It’s as if the devil has influenced...even the elect ..have pulled back in relationships. Has “ The restrainer “released the evil? It’s just so sad to deal with the reality of loneliness in times when it’s so important to fellowship...to edify each other the promise of The Word of God....salvation and eternal life. Even my fiancé has pulled away and wants only to serve The Lord....not man! In my sadness, I’m sure Gods perfect will still includes the covenant of marriage...becoming one...which does glorify His will. Such a lonely world for so many....just want to know if anyone is enduring this and what are your thoughts. God bless all that are dealing with this

I hear you brother. First thing I need to say is I love you. Now that the excuse of lockdowns and quarantines is over, where is all the healing? I have many doctrinal debates and differences with all of you out there, but right now I want to say that it is secondary and peripheral to my love for you. It is all made possible by Jesus' love for me. I did not die for you, but He did. You don't all pat me on the back whenever I say something I think is clever, but He gives me peace and joy for just spending time with Him. I want you all to feel His love as I do. Things will get easier once we cross the finish line. Let's help each other the rest of the way to Emmaus.

Luke 24:
13And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

My heart hasn’t grown cold, but I am down a bit because of the state of America. 🙂
Yes, and also the state of the whole world in general. We have members here from all over the globe. Seems we have more in common than in difference. (y)

Godspeed, my friend and brother.

Definitely I agree with you. These are the times we're living in. In my church we're running a lunch-friendship club for people on Tuesdays. In the last year the number of folks attending has trebled, many are elderly, disabled, alone and afraid, looking for someone to talk to. Some folks travel a great distance looking for a little fellowship, 20 or even 50 miles.

The world is growing darker, but the hearts touched by Jesus are shining brighter. God Bless :)

Well, it depends how well you deal with change …. which should be easy when you leave things up to God. Some things aren’t in our control.
For example, before covid I had a very busy outdoor schedule with a lot of people and activities but after covid … I kinda like this whole work from home thing so I’m grateful And happy still.

Welcome to CC Shikina! This is really a great site to meet fellow Christians as well as church and volunteer work. I think whenever we have the chance to be around other believers, we need to be intentional to present ourselves as friendly. Perhaps start a lonely hearts zoom or group as I'd love to do. Be absolutely sure about your fiance' you sound a little 'iffy' there.
God bless you and your endeavors ! :)
