bet the windows got nice and shiny

The window in the library doesnt open cos I cant reach it. Also this other window they said they were going to fix but actually the water is getting in because its a leaky building not because of the window. It wasnt built or designed properly in the first place. If you happen point this out to someone they just ignore it because it costs too much to maybe put a windowsill or flashing on.

Also, its seems like property managers dont even bother to comply to building codes and standards. They make too much money out of bad buildings. Its a racket I tell you.

I am considering txting my old principal and saying I really want to go back to my old library if Mrs Bossyboots wasnt still there.

But who knows what shes doing now shes retired? I dont know if she wants to hear how awful schools are these days, being run like dictatorships.

I recall the second principal being all nice at first then when she came with me on a library trip she basically abandoned the children because she had a meeting to get to and didnt let them have any lunch even when they were starving. I think she did some things just to get her boxes ticked.

while some children loved her she actually mocked children and staff behind their backs and caused a lot more strife than necessary. One time a trip was going to be cancelled because she just didnt have time in her schedule and she never thought how disappointed the children would be. But even when she was there her mind wasnt on the children who were present she was thinking only of herself. Many children feared her of course she had that power and intimidation thing going on that many principals have.

I once was at a learning workshop and had to sit with two principals at table, they snubbed me for being a librarian. they had that thing many principals wear of gold jewellery and black leather jackets to show how powerful they are I now recognise it as a principals uniform lol

Sounds like someone I have to deal with on the odd occasion.
Imagine a 60 yr old having tantrum behaviour, and yet a very gifted clever person. I just calmly gave her some advice and she stormed off ranting.
Always having ulterior motives. 🤭

Principals often dont listen to advice, they see themselves as above it all. after all, they are the top teacher. Anyone new is a threat to their position.

They'll say 'I dont need a lecture' and balk at a 6 page letter/email in which you outline all the things you have to do in your job, which they never do. I had one principal think he could just dump extra jobs on me whenever he pleased despite me already having enough to do.

I understand.
But God can open doors.
Don’t be pressured, that’s what the devil wants.
Just do your work to the glory of God.
God is watching.
Let the peace of God rule in your heart.
This is a trial.
God is allowing you to be tested.

They try to make everything your problem by giving the work to you.
But guess what! You are not an octopus.

When they see that you are peacefully, diligently doing your work, and some of those extra duties you were given, have not been done, then it becomes their problem.

God gave you the job, and only God can take it away.
I have learnt to have open hands. What God puts in my hand to do, God can take it out if He pleases.
Yes we need to work and pay our bills.
But the safest place to be is in His will.

We know our own faults and where we fall short in pleasing God. So we must pray to that end of being perfected and to overcome through Christ.

When things go against me, I say, Heavenly Father, what am I to do in this situation, what are you trying to tell me, or is this something I just need to endure for your great names sake.

I think He just wants me to endure suffering for his great names sake.

I said it doesnt matter if I am there three months or 16 years, God wanted me there for the children. Well its only 3 months so He must have other plans for me but I was able to do what I could for 3 months.

I once said to another horrible boss, I only have two hands not six. I am glad to be out of it, but finishing up a job that you had to leave half done isnt easy.

I taught Bibles in schools again after a hiatus of several years, a friend was off sick (she caught covid!) but thankfully I dont have it again
We did 3 schools and one girl I saw had gone to my old school and she gave me a hug.

I think God doest want me to have a paid secular job and would rather have me work for Him for love.

Oh, that’s lovely, that’s what I do.
I mean like volunteering at the church.
We do scripture at the local schools also.
I heard that scripture is not permitted in the schools in Victoria, that’s very sad.

Covid has resurfaced around here too, by Gods grace I have dodged it so far, this year.

I only volunteer at church when I have time its hard to do this if you work full time. But If you work full time I guess you then expected to 'tithe' or make offerings.

I can never do both at the same time, you either volunteer time when you have no money, or you give money when you have no time.

This is why church is mostly made up of elderly retired folk. It has nothing to offer a working person in the way of support and most working people have to work for secular bosses in secular workplaces as there are few christian organisations that can pay bills. They run on volunteers, donations or rely on govt funding, which can be fickle.

I have heard of those churches but never seen one. Our church is all kinds of ages and going strong.

Our God is able, without govt funding.
When you start small,
(Zechariah 4:10 KJV
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, ….)
Obedience brings increase.
We have proved it very much.

do you have your own business
None of my parents wanted to go into business as having your own business consumes your life and they didnt want the responsibility...mum raised us all to go to university, get degrees and hopefully find someone willing to employ us. Of course that didnt work lol. She didnt reckon with the nz economy.

The only other option, not open to women these days is to marry a rich husband. Not likely in nz. Most people go overseas to work
