The Evil in Hollywood

If y'all have the time, I'd highly encourage you to watch or listen to these videos. They're each around an hour long, but interesting, informative, and VERY troubling. They are produced by Seventh-Day-Adventists, so be cautious with the doctrines that are taught/alluded to. But the information provided about the entertainment industry is well-documented and relevant. Also exercise caution with some of the clips shared in the talks; some are pretty disturbing. Not for young children.

We most certainly need to have our senses trained to discern good from evil (Hebrews 5:14).

As such, I’m reminded of how this is powerfully portrayed in the music video below.

In keeping with the warning that you gave for the videos in your post, this one also has some immodest and ungodly elements.

The message of the song and video, however, is very thought-provoking.

Essentially, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life deceive people into sinning (1 John 2:16).

The question for us is can we see past the glamour and the glitter.

Can we perceive the illusions designed by Satan to lead us astray?

Let us continually resist him and always obey God.

Why just Hollywood? Why not include all the world capitals?

Hollywood is a huge influence on people, even Christians, and it's time for people to wake up.

Yes, truly it's pretty much one big lie.

I know this will be controversial... but they are not all Jews who are born Jews. And there are some who call themselves Jews and aren't, but are of the synagogue of Satan.

I think the tenor of the discussion needs you to elaborate on that, please

I don't know that much about it. I just don't think all the people who claim to be Jews really are from what I know. But I could be wrong and would have to study it more.

I saw this video earlier today, and I thought of this important thread.

It's so vital for us to be aware of what is shaping our thinking.

Sometimes reporters brandish their title as a jew like its a weapon. It makes me wonder if they are who they say they are. I recently heard a old proverb, The forest was getting smaller but the trees kept voting for the axe for the axe was clever and had the trees convinced that since his handle was made of wood he was one of them.

Yes, this is implicitly so yet world capitals influence so on their own and allowing such influence, Hollywood that is, to be doing what it does within their own borders................. Living in Spain and having experienced many wesstern countries, I have witnessed this first hand. It is a real pity, so obvious , yet so overlooked.

I think the movie industry has moved on a lot from when it was exclusively made in Hollywood, the big movie studios no longer have that much sway anymore. They used to tie their actors and actresses into 7 year contracts at the studios and were basically slaves to the studio system, they didnt have much choice in the movies they made, and the studios were out to make money because they had a monopoly on movie distribution and owned all the cinemas.

Now with tv, and netflix and cable etc, movies arent as influential as they used to be and the actors and actresses are more independent and can choose what projects they want to work on, rather than be stereotyped into one role for their entire acting career.

Movies can run the gamut of being G rated to being X rated though, a lot of Hollywood movies can be graphic and violent and dont shy away from disturbing themes. Sex of course, always sells. There used to be codes of what could and could not be shown but those have fallen by the wayside.

TV is televised programming. That's what it does.....programs people. I remember I grandfather told me about the chip when there was windows 98 and the chip was never thought of. I say this because he talked about the TV as well saying how evil it is and how it's a type of mind control. But thanks for sharing. I watched the first one and thought of him.

It ain't no thang. I've heard about the chip since then too. It's not exactly bleeding edge tech.
