That’s a physiological response… it’s not that uncommon… preparation to perform in the heat of such extreme conditions calls for a dedicated regime to ensure that people are not just physically prepared, but that they are mentally prepared, mentored, and led in a manner that helps the entire organization to help each other during those times… leaders have to assume some responsibility to ensure all of their personnel are both physically and mentally prepared…. Realistic training and building a cohesive unit are essential…
Everyone is wired for “fight or flight” response… but I believe that people can be reprogrammed (with proper training) to be prepared to ‘fight’ as a unit when the time arises…
