sure in order to deceive someone who’s been told the truth by God you have to create some doubt and make some suggestions and then offer a contrary idea
“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
( theres a caviat to that ) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
Genesis 2:16-17 KJV
“you are free and able to eat of any tree because your tending the garden but don’t eat this trees fruit it is deadly for you you will surely die “
your point the creation of doubt “ Did God really say that about the fruit ?”

you absolutely have to first create some manner of doubt or the person will hold on to believing the truth “ we must not eat the fruit of that tree we will certainly die “
You then have to offer an alternative that isn’t true to whatever the truth is in other words a lie so the person has something else to think about and consider “you aren’t going to surely die “
Finally you have to give them a reason to try the fruit out so they will break Gods commandment saying “you must not or you will die “
So you say something that’s tempting of the forbidden object of desire “ it will make you wise to know good and evil “
Once they take the bait , now Gods word says “ you’ve eaten the fruit and Will surely die “ they have now condemned themselves with the freedom given them because an enemy of mankind an therefore an enemy of God whomloves mankind , deceived them in a down right nasty Manner using Gods word of freedom blessing and protection and warning , to put man to death by Gods word and man’s disobedience even through his deception
