Jeanette’s discernment pertaining to one particular CC member’s aggressive nature that is sorely lacking love and grace.
Alright.

There is the possibility that she was reacting to that person's doctrine alone.

I don't know who it was so I can't be the judge of it myself.

I agree mostly but with these two.

In the first one, God made us in His image. But what is His image? Man, woman, White, Black? I think God's image is of universality , because we were all made like Him but also different. Maybe, maybe, things happen in the womb which makes us be born a certain way and that has been proven over and over by scientists too. But its not our fault that those things happened to us yet people always like to point their fingers at those who are born differently.
Well, made in the image of God is more of a spiritual image. God isn't flesh and blood, it's our spirit that is made in His image.

That includes transgender people. There are several studies that I brought here that suggest transgender brains are affected during pregnancy. When I brought these up, some supposed scientist said that he disagrees with the majority of scientists and that the studies are a lie fixed by the left government....yeah. Because he knows more than all the other scientists and also was there when the left was fixing this.....
I'm not a scientist, I won't speak to what I don't know. What I do know is the Bible and that God set the standard as between a man and a woman. All sex outside that is wrong. Again, I know this is hard to accept, the devil really tempts us in the area he knows we are the weakest. But as I said, we can be overcomers.

The second one I was more referring to the fact the Bible writers, some of them, had their own agendas. The Bible is inspired by God but there are instances, like Leviticus saying that Israelite people can own slaves but to be sure to treat Israelites as their same....where men wrote their own word and not God's. God doesn't approve of slavery. He loves all his children just the same and to Him, I believe, we are all one.
Well the issue with that is we can't know God's will. If the Bible is some of God will and some of mans will, how do we know what is what? Either the Bible is reliable or it isn't. Slavery the Bible speaks of is not the same as the deep south. God called Israel out as a special nation and there were warnings given to those who came against her. To those that didn't listen, there were consequences.

Thanks for your words, however. You were not disrespectful and I appreciate that. I hope we can keep the conversation at a respectful, understanding tone.
We had someone who came here struggling with being homosexual. The thread went about the same as this one did. In my heart I felt to PM him. As we talked he said that when he came out to his mother she told him he may as well kill himself, that God didn't love him and she kicked him out of her life. Christians need to be careful of how they present the Gospel. It is a Gospel of hope, love and redemption. I believe God made a man and a woman, no mistakes. And I believe God sets loving limits on sex, for our own good. I do not believe God hates gays or trans people and I think we need to be careful in how we reach out to that community. If Jesus were to come back today you would find him among the hurting and the lost, we need to have a heart for these people. You said you believe and you repent. The most important thing you can do is give your life to God. And the closer you get to Him the farther you get from your past and from the world. And I'm not just talking about being trans either. Pray, read the Bible and seek God with all your mind, soul and your heart and He will not lead you astray. God wants the best for each of us and sometimes we have to let go of a lot of things we think aren't harming us, but He knows they are. It's a struggle we all face and I hope you don't give up. Blessings!

What's your problem with me Snacker? Why are you trying to get people to ignore me? Do you hate me that much?

So quick to defend ourselves, yet so thirsty for the blood of others, even after they are no longer here to defend themselves.

It's time we as the church shut off the distractions, get on our knees and start crying out for souls. I don't know how to reach a homosexual, or trans, or others with dissatisfaction with the church. I do the time is late and the last thing we should be doing is barring the gate to heaven to our loved ones, our friends, those in our community. God give us a heart for the lost! Help us not to rest, help us to see they need God! We don't want one person left behind. Lord give us the words to soften hearts and change minds and lead more and more people to you.

I agree about this.

As I said I go to Him every night and pray for forgiveness. Something many here seem to not read.

One thing: I don't consider transgenderism a sin, because thats how I was born.
She obviously is not praying to be forgiven of something that she doesn't consider to be a sin.

I think that's horrible. Period

But there MUST be a difference between love and acceptance of sin.

And that's not what went on here.
This person CLAIMED to be a born again Christian, and although he thought it sinful to engage in homosexual acts, he did NOT think it was a sin to live as the opposite sex.

Several of us tried to in what I would say was cordial ways to explain why that was wrong.

He then accused us of being haters.

I mean just read the thread starting at his first post.

He definitely loves everyone, that is your basic gospel of John 3:16.

However, He also hates the sinner inasmuch as he will not be separated from his sin.

Psa 5:5, The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Psa 5:6, Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Psa 7:11, God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

I think that many people fail to see, however, that this does not only apply to the homosexual or transgender person;

It applies to every worker of iniquity.

That being said, it is also written,

Rom 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

So, I think that with the sinner, God has what might be called a love/hate relationship.

Not trying to be harsh on you, but let's remember, this person has a soul. Let's pray God will reveal Himself in a special way to this person. I believe they have a heart for God, I believe they are seeking, I pray they will find God's love is real, that they will come close to Him and let the things of this world slip away.

Of course he/she has a soul; and it can be saved.

I agree; let us pray for the salvation of that soul.

It is not going to happen unless she acknowledges her sin as being sin.

Not trying to be harsh, either.

Just declaring the facts.

I will only say that there is a door barring the way to heaven and in order to go there one must enter through it.

It is unlocked.

But if God says you must acknowledge your sin in order to open it, then that is the only way in.

Of course Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross is the way to be forgiven.

But forgiveness does not happen until the sinner acknowledges his sin.

Yes brother, but you and I understand the difference. The lost or new believers don't understand. We are here to help them mature in the faith. We catch em, God cleans em. It's not our job. Our job is to share the Good News. I just feel like lately we Christians think we are Savior and Holy Spirit and then wonder why people don't change. We need to start praying for the lost. We need to bring them in and let God change them. We cannot, they aren't hearing us. I catch em, He cleans them. Let's not get those to twisted and the cart before the horse. Just as I am, we use to sing it. We come to God broken sinners. Do we believe God is still in the saving business?

Just as I am, without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me
And that Thou bid'st me come to Thee
Oh, Lamb of God, I come, I come

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt
Fighting and fears within without
Oh, Lamb of God, I come, I come

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve
Because Thy promise I believe
Oh, Lamb of God, I come, I come
