John 14:23
“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
...in the form of the Holy Spirit.

Colossians 1:27
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
...in the form of the Holy Spirit.

1 John 4:15
“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him...”
...in the form of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:17
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
Yes, and He has the mind of Father and Son.
Indeed, in the form of the Holy Spirit. The physical Jesus can't dwell in people. However, we know that "The Lord is the Spirit", so the Holy Spirit is Jesus in a form that we can receive.

There is an appallingly false teaching going around that the Holy Spirit is Lord. The Holy Spirit is not the name above all names. The Holy Spirit did not die and rise again. The Father invests all that He is in the Son. The Son reveals all that He is through His Holy Spirit.

I think it only appears as there being three when really God is only one.

Jesus was God on earth. That's not actually two separate identities.

We're also told God is Holy Spirit. That means God is always that even here when he was called Jesus.

So really when the Holy Spirit is within us it's God living there.
We're in God and God is within us because our being is born from and through God.
One does not send themself.
