I really really need a husband!!

why are men complaining that women work again? Do they want us all to be fat and lazy?

I think the last time I saw that was in a 1976 movie of the week.

That was my take on watching Leave It To Beaver.

You'll generally find it more in the Bible Discussion Forum when there is talk about the evils of feminism.

Now I'm certainly not defending any of the many ways that feminism has gone off the rails, but along with feminism will come the talk of evil Jezebels who are pursuing careers and are ruining the family unit. If you skim the BDF now and then, you'll see this discussion come and go.

A long while back, we also had a group of middle-aged men (50-ish age range and above) here in Singles who regularly sang the praises of finding a young, 20-something submissive Asian wife because they saw all Western women as being tainted by the said likes of feminism.

I do understand the frustration behind that, but I think there's a balance. If God has called a woman to be a nurse or a doctor, there's a reason for that, and I thank God that I've been able to go to female doctors for female health concerns in recent years. (When you're having problems with your ovaries, it's nice to be able to talk to a professional who actually has ovaries as well.)

Anyway, I digress.

As explained before, this whole thread is a joke in answer to posts made in other threads about what some of the men in the forum expected from women. For example, the guy saying women are shallow for wanting tall men, but then he also said, Thank God men are not shallow. This particular member also had a thread in the BDF complaining that women should be wearing head scarves when praying, and that because they don't do this, they are "rebelling against God" due to feminism.

Then there was also talk in a thread about men who've had sex themselves, but want only a virgin bride.

Hence, this is why the OP said she wanted a virgin husband who would remain a virgin -- because this whole thread was meant to highlight and parody sky-high expectations.

I dont think you are allowed to marry your pets sorry.

A dog would fit the OPs criteria, particuarly one of the already famous 101 Dalmatians who probably has an account or discount with Target and or Kmart.

The problem with women "working" is that a man can usually do the job better, and it means that less children are being born into the world, loved or looked after. Of course, this is a generalisation, but the more women "work", the more real families (that's everyone) suffer. I use the word "work" in inverted commas, as women can and do real work as wives and mothers - this is real woman's work that men can never do.

It's a bit of a Catch 22 these days.

Not many Christian men (well, I can only speak from my own experience...) these days want to marry a woman who doesn't do some kind of work that earns money to help pay the bills.

That's not a knock on Christian men at all, I just don't know many who can or want to support a household on one salary.

If a Christian woman puts up a profile that says, "I live with my parents and only do Real Women's Work (aka, domestic work at home,)" there's not much of a chance she's ever going to get married.

And she needs to be doing something to support herself in the meantime, which will usually mean pursuing a career.

Cleaning toilets, doing dishes, vacuuming, rearranging the furniture, shopping, cooking, knitting, gardening, washing, mopping floors, on top of their outside the home job, changing nappies,, feeding. And not get paid any extra. And have no holidays. And no friends or anyone else to talk to at home. Could work.

Men cannot provide for a family on their salary alone nowadays. Also, men have the option of finding a wife who wants to be a stay at home wife/mom.

if only more people realized/understood/acknowledged this.
I see more and more dads out and about with the little ones (and I hope it is because it gives mom a break, and dad time to spend with the child- but then they talk and you find out it is a stay at home dad).
While dad can be there, very few men are actually "hard wired by God" to take on the deeper parts of care and nurturing that is required.
