yes ... as shown in the verses ... the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world. You do the same thing with the verses I posted as you do in insisting that "the natural man must "spiritually" understand the gospel" ... which means a person must be born again before he or she can believe the gospel by which he or she is born again. You add a little to Scripture here ... change a little there ...

In your erroneous dogma, how many times must a person be born again before he or she is really, really, really, truly, scout's honor, born again???

READ YOUR BIBLE!!!

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it [the gospel of Christ] is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

You are absolutely 110% correct of course. Scripture totally backs what you are saying and there is verse upon verse to prove it. I was in this discussion pages back and hit the same wall with the same red x on every post like that's going to change the truth of the Bible. There are people who are going to believe false doctrine no matter how much you try and show them the light. I swear if Jesus Himself sat down at explained Scripture they would still red x Him and stick to their dogma. smh

No, it doesn't. Scriptures bury this false doctrine. The fact that you are being a Pharisee and actively barring the gate to heaven to people is more concerning to me than you clinging to false doctrine. Whosoever means what it says. I proved you wrong with Scripture pages ago. This is 100% false doctrine and I don't understand why CC allows it to continue. Perhaps they simply don't see it, but it is DIRECTLY against what Scripture teaches.

nope ... God does not need you to editorialize what He wrote. However, you need to believe Scripture just as written by its Author.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

yes, even the born again one. When I tried to explain that, I was told God's warnings concerning false teachers were not warnings at all but "edification of the saints". When that rendering was exposed as foolishness, I was told those warnings do not apply to the born again one because "a true believe can NEVER be "led astray" into false belief" ... holy moly talk about closing your eyes and ears to Scripture ...

What a loving Father we have ...

Romans 11:32
very nice, @Magenta!

Psalm 36:

5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

brightfame52, there will always be those who try to rip salvation from the power of the Saviour and instead bestow it upon themselves.

another straw man, rogerg, which reveals your tendency to argue with Scripture rather than to believe Scripture.

Romans 1:16 makes clear that it is the gospel of Christ which is the power of God unto salvation ... not the faith of the one who believes.

does anyone (other than myself) find it interesting that rogerg placed his x at Post 1165 which submits only Scripture verses in response to a claim and at Post 1181 which, again, contains only Scripture??? rogerg, you might just want to check your heart on that anomaly ... just sayin' ...

You must be thinking of someone else (possibly) or confused again (probably), or both. I am not the one who believes that anyone is saved by THEIR faith. I believe someone becomes saved only because God had chosen them for salvation, and from that, they receive faith as a gift through the fruit of the Spirit. You should really get your facts straight before you make incorrect assumptions regarding someone else's beliefs, but then again, getting facts straight is always a problem for you.

The "gospel of Christ" IS OF CHRIST HIMSELF. So then, by your statement, you're actually saying that you do not believe salvation is by/from the Saviour, but of man. Do you believe that He is the Saviour, or not, with no ifs ands or buts included - you don't get to have it both ways?

True, true. Like those who claim they are the special elect, and nobody else can be saved.

It is not the scripture, it is yours (and others) interpretation of scripture. If someone refuses to follow the rules the Bible directs its
readers to follow, which you and many others don't, you can't expect to find its truth.

Yes, and he did the same in response to my Scripture panel at the top of this page.

Clearly rogerg disagrees with Scripture.

There you go again - you just did that very thing - you try to rip salvation from the power of the Saviour, giving to man.

Not. But there is no point trying to discuss such things with you when
you deny your very own words and repeatedly falsely accuse others.
