This is the filth-ridden garbage commercial that infiltrated my Facebook page. I’m done.

Why do we Christians support Facebook.... I dropped FB a couple years ago , as hypocritical as it is i still use messenger :( Yeah i miss a lot of family stuff. FB controls who sees your posts... We may think we are speaking to millions we are not ... Keeping our words in some what of a Christian circle stops the spread of the Gospel . FB pushes the ugliness of the world on its readers if you are using how do you teach the kids not to.? Get out of FB and others and get your kids out of public schools

I'll never understand why people on this site feel the need to announce when they quit Facebook.

God forbid, don’t try too hard. You may actually learn something in your effort.

Typically it is by algorithm or data that gives you the ads you see. If you have clicked on or focus on an ad it will read that you are interested.

The data could be through search engines or voice using your phones mic if you give it access.

To fix it, change your settings, and on the ads click the option saying you wish to report the ad. Do this a few times and you will no longer see the ads popping up.

Thank you, brother. 🙏

I've never had a facebook page. It can be annoying when some churches and businesses have only a facebook page and not a website. That's the only drawback that I can think of.

Just dont use it rather than complain about it. There are other apps you can use that dont have ads.

And if I didn’t complain about the content people would say that I don’t seem to mind. There’s no winning with some folks.

If you DO mind thats on you to 'mind your own business' as the Bible says...not to be a busybody in other peoples matters.
When you post on facebook ANYBODY who also uses facebook can see and comment, its not private, and businesses, conspiracy theorists and yes people with garbage are actually free to go on your page and post anything they like. Thats what you sign up for. You can delet your own things but you can only 'ignore' others.

You are better off away from it. By posting more about it, you only draw MORE attention to it. lol

In America the average person spends about 2hrs a day using social media.

In China it's about 4 hrs as they use wechat which has every app imaginable under one app. Everything from communication, search engines, shopping, and paying bills.

And in China they track EVERY single thing you do or say. A bad post in China WILL put you in jail.

I know quite a bit about functional medicine and I'm pretty sure they are talking about non-psychoactive mushrooms like Lion's Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Shitake, and the like. I take a powdered blend I mixed myself and put into my coffee daily. It has lots of antioxidants and I believe it gives me some energy...along with the caffeine, lol. Anyway, remember when Kale was what all health nuts talked about? Well, now it's all about mushrooms and all the varieties of them for health benefits.

I strongly suspect that that advertisement is false. My local state passed a cannabis referendum, but even in the Seattle stores there isn't anything like psilocybin. That might even just be a rip off ad, like the get rich quick ads about stuffing envelopes.

They try to. China is actually so populous and rich that the government has more trouble tracking people on social media than the news here reports, although it certainly wants you to believe that it can see everything you write.

NZGovt departments have banned workers from using TikTok not cos its a waste of time but because they scared China can spy on them with Tiktok lol

Although I think the CCP might have better things to do than care about a bunch of kiwis badly lipsynching to music vids. I'm not even sure why they would be doing that as part of their job

Those poor govt workers! unable to use Tiktok what a shame...

I agree. That's why I deactivated FB. There is zero online social etiquette. People think they can do what they want, say what they want, have zero accountability to the people they injure or hurt by their posts, be hypocritical and tell others what to do meanwhile they DO the exact same thing to others. The irony.

I have had too many people act like posts are their journals or ranting spaces on my own FB. Yes it is YOUR own space. No one deserves to vomit all over your page. I hear you and definitely understand. You aren't complaining, you are addressing the issues at hand. You aren't the only one - many have experienced these issues too. Like they say one bad apple spoils the bunch. It would have been a nice experience if everyone else would be polite, caring, kind and respectful. AG
