no, not always. stevie ray vaughn, jimmy page, john bonham, ian price robert plant & iommi are some of the world's best. they all are self taught. & there's a huge amount more that are self taught.

times daily. Mtv back then also used to broadcast actual music not the trash shows they broadcast now.

More young souls have been seduced and lost by means of occultic music than perhaps any other means IMO.
I was force-fed that trash when I was a kid. All that I do now is preach against it.

Maybe as a Christian musician you can minister to unsaved musicians and share the gospel with them!

hold on cv5. not all rock & roll is trash. its so easy for Christians & other people to instantly downgrade rock & roll as it were meaningless. there's huge amounts of "clean" rock out there. no, i'm not defending it because i'm a professional drummer. as i stated before, rock musicians are much much better players than musicians who play Christian music. why can't Christian people play that well? there's got to be a reason. if they are so dedicated to God why can't they play even half as good as the secular players? i've been on the road before with full crews, basically all over the northeast & a bit beyond. its not proper for anyone to degrade rock music without a full research into it. yes, I'll be the 1st say there's quite a bit of evil music, no doubt.

i've already been doing that. not 1 secular musician has chosen God yet.

That's okay. Jeremiah didn't get a single convert that we know of. The most important thing - and this pleases God so very much - is that you're doing His will!

And sometimes it take YEARS for someone to finally come around. You know after all this is done, you might see one of those musicians you shared the gospel with and learn that he's become our brother/sister in Christ!

You do realize that the etymology of the very term "rock and roll" indicates that it is an euphemism for illicit sexual activity......correct?

Another thought: if your heart strings are resonant with "rock and roll" occult/pop music, maybe you need heart replacement surgery?

I DO NOT WORSHIP ANY OF IT. musicians all over the world realize the huge talent of these guys & learn from them. so i say once again, to anyone on this thread, if Christian musicians are so dedicated to God, & they should be, why can't they play as good as the experts?
