These three titles are constantly being used to refer to our almighty Creator and Father Yahuah, but WHY? Let's have a look:

GOD: (god) Common Teutonic word for personal object of religious worship, formerly applicable to super-human beings of heathen myth; on conversion of Teutonic races to Christianity, term was applied to Supreme Being.”

ENCYCLOPEDIA AMERICANA

(The primary "super-human being" of heathen mythology is NIMROD).

ADONAI: Since pronouncing God’s personal Name YHWH is considered sinful by Jews, they use Adonai instead in prayers and the reading of the Scriptures. When the Masoretes added vowel pointings to the text of the Hebrew Bible in the first century A.D, they gave the tetragrammaton YHWH the vowels of Adonai, to remind the reader to say Adonai instead. THEOPEDIA.COM

ORIGIN OF ADONAI: Literally, 'my Lord', spoken in place of the ineffable name Yahweh. DICTIONARY.COM

HaShem: is the word which many pious Jews use instead of the yod-hey-vav-hey Name, in casual conversation, and it literally means “The Name”. When they encounter this during prayers or when reading from the Torah, they visualise yod-hey-vav-hey and say Adonai.

BETEMUNAH.ORG

The Hebrew words Adonai, Alahim, Eloi, Eloah, and others are pronouns as you know. Many people feel it is wrong to substitute formerly Pagan terms or names for Father Yahuah, of course (like GOD). I've never found any Scriptures using the term "haShem" to replace the Name Yahuah, yet we know it's in common use among many Messianics and orthodox Yahudim (jews). There's no letter "V" as we know it today in older Hebrew, but modern Hebrew uses such a letter (since the 17th century). "Jehovah" is a hybrid mongrelization of the Tetragrammaton YHUH, changed to JHVH, then the vowels of "adonai" are crammed in, to CUE the reader to not pronounce the Name Yahuah, but instead say adonai. LEW WHITE

So how do we explain all this madness to a young person seeking Yahusha’s deliverance……. here we go:

All religions come from Babylon and behind every false name and title there is an unclear spirit lurking, veiling the truth of Yahusha’s Name and hence His Deliverance from evil through belief, repentance and Immersion in His Name (Yahusha literally means Yahuah is our Deliverance)… Now how easy is that to understand? Anything that casts the true Name of our Creator Yahuah and Messiah Yahusha to ruin is breaking the 3rd Commandment and is lawlessness (sin - hence a demon).

“God/Gad” is wicked and pagan and truly an insult to His majesty, referring to Him as a mythical creature or common object of idol worship.

“Adonai” and “Lord” are directly related in Hebrew and both refer to Baal (Moloch) the child-sacrificing and tree-worshipping idolatry that saw Yahuah’s Bride (Yisharal) divorced and scattered into captivity over 2730 years ago. Yahuah is incredibly offended with being called this.

“HaShem” literally means “the Name” - so if all other efforts to NOT call Yahuah by His true Name fail, just cal Him `Name’. How callous and impersonal is that? The first thing we learn about a person when meeting them is their Name and we know that the Name of Yahuah is the Key of Knowledge unlocking the true meanings and context to the Scripture. It also opens the doorway to Deliverance, which is Yahusha Himself.

So why would we use the wicked terms God, Adonai or HaShem when we know, believe, have repented, been immersed and are being redeemed in the marvellous life-giving Name of Yahusha?

Elohim (more correctly Alahim) is in the Scriptures and simply means 'mighty one', so this is an acceptable pronoun but I still personally hardly ever use it, I mean why would I? I know His True Name . . .

We can see a lot about the type of relationship someone has with their Creator by the expressions and terminology they’ve been taught to use by the Pastors, Preachers, Teachers and Rabbis of organised Religion can’t we? We still love and cherish them and let them have their mindsets, but if at all possible - try and introduce them to the actual being they merely ignorantly (not knowing) refer to but haven’t met yet . . . . . YAHUSHA. He is so wonderful, loving and kind and His burden is very light. He requires those who worship Him to do so through their obedient behaviour and lifestyle in spirit and in truth. No longer in a temple made with hands but in the earthen vessels that are US as He takes us over and reigns in our hearts.

how is the Vav Hey pronounced in other Hebrew words that use those consonants? is it ever pronounced as Wey or Ah? Does the Vav make a V sound or is it silent when it is used in Hebrew? Do you have any examples where the Vav is silent or a U sound?

“be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Its curious Jesus name never appears in the ot writings but then again it seems he was telling us ahead of time he was going to reveal his name later when he came and spoke to us

it’s one of the promises he was making for when he came to be among man in Christ

“Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭39:7‬ ‭

“Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:8-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭16:21‬ ‭

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:9-13‬

“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

h262 to H264 also end in the vav hey combination and are pronounced with the Vah. One means declaration and the other means brotherhood. a number of words that end with the vav hey combination are pronounced with the Vah and have a meaning related to verbal expression.

kind of revealing that the Name YAHAVAH means Eternal Word with the YAH meaning Eternal and the Vah meaning Word or expression. Ahava joins the 2 which means love.

The words "God," "Jesus," "Lord" are completely dependent on their contexts for their meanings, not on their origins. Also, I use those English words from the New Testament because they are better for clear communication to unbelievers about what I believe, not Hebrew words, which I also know from seminary. It's a matter of communicating clearly in people's own language.

This will be good yet its true.

"Unfortunately, some popular teachers continue to espouse the Jesus-Zeus connection, and many believers follow the pseudo- scholarship in these fringe, “new revelation” teachings. Not only are these teachings and practices filled with error, but they do not profit in the least. So, to every English-speaking believer I say: Do not be ashamed to use the name JESUS! That is the proper way to say his name in English—just as Michael is the correct English way to say the Hebrew name mi-kha-el and Moses is the correct English way to say the Hebrew name mo-sheh. Pray in Jesus’ name, worship in Jesus’ name, and witness in Jesus’ name. And for those who want to relate to our Messiah’s Jewishness, then refer to him by His original name Yeshua—not Yahshua and not Yahushua—remembering that the power of the name is not in its pronunciation but in the person to whom it refers, our Lord and Redeemer and King."

Whats so beautiful.. is wasn't seeking this out yet all day keep hearing that name above every name. The last few songs about that name.

It's really a very boldfaced lie from Judaizers that propagated the Name Jesus as "hail Zeuss or Isis." Those people are unbelievers and don't have a leg to stand on. The Name of our Savior was provided to us in the common Greek of the New Testament. His Name in Greek is spelled Iesous. Because of the changes that occur over time in every language, such as the additional J in English.
Here's an example of another common modern language. This is correct if you speak Spanish.
His Name is pronounced Jesus. In Spanish the J is pronounced as an "H."
The "E" is pronounce "eh."
The "U" is "ooh"
Phonetically, His Name in the Hispanic dialects is Jesus.

I'm just making the case that may be what you are saying, that the people who claim that Jesus is a pagan name don't know what they are talking about.
I'll go even further in that they are blaspheming Jesus by paroting what they have heard from Hebrew Roots teachers. I hope they will reconsider, repent (change their minds) , understand the purpose of the law......then
Believe the Gospel.

Now THAT'S Good News about Jesus the Savior! 📖🙂👍

There is no recording of the Hebrew.
It is a dead language.
You are an articulate English speaker.
The Scriptures have been accurately translated into our language, O.T. and New, so we are truly blessed to not have need to learn Hebrew as a second language.

From the Old Testament we have Strong's H3444 and it occurs 77 times in the KJV.
ישׁוּעה
yeshû‛âh
yesh-oo’-aw
Feminine passive participle of H3467; something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: - deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.

The name "Jesus" is a transliteration which comes from the name we know as "Joshua" or Yehoshua. The letter "J" was put into use about 500 years ago.

but just think. if we didn't learn that YAHAVAH means Eternal Word, which points to the Son, we would miss out on the beauty of His Name and the meaning. Think about it. Who is the Eternal Word? It tells us Who the Son is. Then for the Hey to be behold and the Yod to mean Hand and the Vav to mean nail is amazing revelation. Eternal Word. Behold the Hands. Behold the nails. The Gospel is in His Name YAHAVAH with love Ahava.

the word God in no way represents Who He is. It starts with a hard G which is formed in the back of the mouth with a gaa. it ends with a hard D with the tongue against the top of the mouth. that makes a sound of a start and end. He has no beginning or end. That is why His Name YAH is the sound of His Eternalness which exists throughout creation and is sounding all the time. The word god in any form is an insult to Who He is.

went through the Hebrew lexicon for about 7 letters so far looking for words with the Vav letter. The sound of the Vav is mainly determined by the letter that follows it. In nearly every instance where the Hey follows the Vav the sound of the syllable is Vah. A number of those words have to do with verbal expression. There was not a single word where the Hey followed the Vav that was not pronounced as Vah. If you have words with a Vav followed by a Hey that are the basis of the sound presented in this thread then please present those words. VAH appears to be the proper pronunciation of the last syllable of YHVH and means Word or verbal expression. Please present evidence to refute that if you have any.
