A PSALM OF DAVID
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
2 Samuel 22:5-7
David was on the run from King Saul and hiding in caves, it just reminded me of what Paul and fellow laborers endured.
8 For we would not have you ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were pressed beyond measure, beyond strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life.
9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raiseth the dead,
10 who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver us, in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us.
