With all the events happening today, do you still believe America is a Christian nation? Biden now supports the LGBT, republicans want to cut benefits to the poor and middle class. Do you still think we are a Christian nation? So many time times in the 80's and 90's I heard Christian leaders calling America a Christian nation. I think that ship has sailed.

The USA isn't now, and never has been a Christian nation. At times it has had a higher proportion of people who hold values compatible with Christianity, and may even have had a higher proportion of actual Christians, but it has always been a secular nation.

Romans 1:22-28
[22] Claiming to be wise, they became fools, [23] and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

[24] Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, [25] because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

[26] For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; [27] and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

[28] And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Throughout history idolatry leads to God’s abandonment of a nation. Then follows 1. fornication 2. homosexuality 3. insanity.

We’ve reached the final phase, insanity.
When men remove their xxxxx, dress up like women and the kindergarten teachers invite them for story time.

This nation is under judgement, prepare accordingly.

no. i never believed it. but here's a ?: for example, if there are 300,000,000 people living in a country, who's to say what percentage of people in that country must be Christian? 70%, 80% or 90% or even 100%? & remember, millions of people call themselves Christians & haven't an idea what it means to be Christian.

There are millions of Christians within this nation, but the USA has lost its Christian roots for sure.

I love our country, and I appreciate the freedoms; yet, we have degraded in so many areas. I'll do my best to mitigate the damages, but this is way beyond me, my fellow Christians, and even God to solve, which He would be happy to do. His hand is always extended, but I don't think we're grabbing it as a nation anymore (or rarely).

Absolutely not. I believe it has not been a Christian nation for a long time, if ever...

I do believe there used to be many Christians in this land but, from what I've seen in history I don't see a Christian witness in much of it's politics.

There never has been such a thing as a Christian nation and never will be. We can look forward though to Gods kingdom at the end of the Tribulation.

just go on social media and look at the anti-Christian stuff. and the hate at Christian values and the Bible.

this would not have been the case 25-30 years ago.

but, this ain't 25 years ago.

this is no longer a Christian based country.

A Christian nation would have to recognize Christ as its king, would it not?

Most non-Christians associate Christianity with abortion/birth control bans and gay marriage/homosexual rejection, among other things, or some sort of dystopia world like The Handmaid's Tale. I really don't think it is about Jesus as much, as most non-Christians accept the liberal form of Jesus (watch the videos on hegetsus.com). Other religions also accept the historicity of Jesus, and while they don't accept Jesus as Lord they don't hate Jesus. Abortion/birth control and gay marriage/homosexual relations have become more acceptable around the world (not just the U.S.), so Christianity is on the decline. Even where gay marriage is not legalized, homosexuals are being treated with dignity as coworkers, friends, etc. so in that sense they have become more accepted.

And people don't want to talk about its Christian roots because they would be found to be caught in a lie. When the Pilgrims and Puritans (two different Christian groups) came to continental America there were no colonies or states. These were the Christian roots that continued to influence America. All that came much later. But even the Founding Fathers (many of whom were Freemason) had not abandoned their Christian roots.

This was the only nation on earth that actually wanted liberty and justice for all (in theory), and embedded that in the Constitution. The principles embedded in the Constitution are in fact Christian principles. At the same time slavery was taken for granted by the Founding Fathers (which was a shame) and which is quite an anomaly. After all "liberty for all" should have included both the blacks and the Natives. But that did not happen. And if one is honest the history of America from 1776 to 1876 was not very pretty.

However, in less than 300 years America has been subverted from within. And that is only because there was no constant vigilance by those who were elected to uphold the Constitution. The Soviet Union even had put out a Manifesto to make America a Communist country, and everyone ignored this. Communism and Communist parties should have been totally banned, and that never happened. So today the government of the United States is Marxist/Communist/Fascist/Anarchist/Racist, but these enemies are dishonest and call themselves "Democrats". Their goal is to establish a TOTALITARIAN TYRANNY -- Orwell's 1984 in reality -- and they have just about gotten away with it.

Here's Glenn Beck's assessment of the Communists now in charge of America and the tremendous danger it poses:

(LifeSiteNews) – The indictment, of Donald Trump on unprecedented charges against a former US president, who millions believe is still the real president, has rightly led to an explosion of reactions. Glenn Beck made some astonishing comments to Tucker Carlson yesterday on what is behind the indictment and related grave threats to the nation.

Among other things, Beck believes the legal action is the left “trying to inflame this country. They wanted violence from the right from the beginning. They can’t wait for it. They need it because if we strike out, look at January 6…They want you to strike out. Why? Because then they can close the cage.” That is, they allegedly want an excuse to create another Venezuela, end democracy in the US and impose a permanent tyranny.

A similar tactic has been used by Biden and the Deep State in Ukraine to outrageously provoke Russia for eight years into finally invading the US proxy state. US/NATO armed and trained Ukraine, including unexpected direct US/NATO involvement, would then strike to engage Russia in a protracted war together with Great Reset type, new financial sanctions. That was planned to deplete Russia’s military and finances and weaken it to a point where it could be taken over, broken up and turned into more US-dominated entities. However, it has not worked out as planned.

As soon as I heard Trump’s warning that he would be arrested, I knew that the United States was being put in great danger by the very same people who have engineered the Ukraine debacle. They are not so much after Trump as they want to destroy the US. Let’s hope and pray that this plan, which also involves Great Reset financial hits to the American people, will also fail.

The prospect of these charges against Trump, the latest of many other fake charges against him over the past several years, and an arrest and possible imprisonment of Trump was frightening to me. It marked a new low in Democrat and Trump derangement syndrome tactics against the man for which hatred has no bounds. I knew that if this went forward, tyranny was certain to take a large leap in the United States and that in turn would further endanger the whole world.

This is exactly what I have said in post #13 even before I saw this article.

In a fallen World, I don’t think that any nation can claim to be a Christian nation, though I believe that America has the most born-again Christian’s in it. Also, I believe we had some very godly men that were greatly used by God in the founding of this country. Like Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and where would we be without George Washington. Men like these and the documents and laws they created together with Providence (God) made for the greatest country the World has ever known.

The hand of God was on the creation of the U.S.A. and He still desires His Own to invite Him into the restoration of this nation to His glory.

and where would we be without George Washington.
Right. Here is his Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789 :

Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be--That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed-- for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us. and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord-- To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

Go: Washington

This is am amazing testimony to the genuine faith of George Washington

Thread ended right here, I agree with this.
