Christians: Pastors Who Don’t Know God.

Many (not all) of these men and women who inhabit the pulpit have exalted themselves above correction, or so they think. Members dare not correct them. Outsiders are pushed away. And day after day, men and women not of God continue to deceive the hearts of the simple. The simple with itching ears who heap to themselves teachers full of comfortable lies, nonsense and false promises. But this time I am not going to start off by calling out Creflo “man of God but confused and deceived by Kenneth Copeland” Dollar, former false teacher Fred Price Sr., T.D. Fakes, Paula “sleep with married Benny Hinn” White, Dale “put your name on everything to promote yourself Bronner, Peter “sucker you with free spring water packets” Popoff, Juanita “profit-ess with serious mental issues” Bynum nor Joel “Don’t Worry Be Happy” watered down Gospel Osteen. Come on people, stop falling for the show. Well I guess I did call them out.

Full article:

Christians: Pastors Who Don’t Know God. (msn.com)
I watched Dr Fred Price all through the 80-90's and even taped many of his programs and never found fault with his messages. I learned a lot from him about 'ever increasing faith'. His wife Betty gave the best talk on marital sex I've ever heard.
I watch K Copeland off and on and am watching his Sacramento Campaign this week. He's 86 and been married to Gloria for 59 yrs, his family and him are all in the ministry and in good health. He once prayed passionately over a lady that had a tumorous growth hanging over her face and it disappeared, in Jesus name.
Joel Osteen's mother, Dodie, was diagnosed with liver cancer having a tumor the size of on orange on it. They gave her a few weeks to live. Her husband John Osteen, told the Dr 'we believe in miracles Dr' and they went home fell on their face before God and earnestly prayed. That was in 1981 and she's been alive and well since.

A better rendering of the verse is all kinds of evil and not all evil. Satan's sin was not greed, but pride.
ALL KINDS OF EVIL = ALL EVIL. Evil is evil. And it is not Satan who is tempted with money either.

At the same time, money itself is neutral, But it is the LOVE of money (greed, covetousness) that is at the root of all evil (or all kinds of evil). False prophets are shown to be also greedy of filthy lucre. All these "Christian" TV personalities who are flaunting their wealth are undermining the Gospel, since they have gotten rich on the backs of poor Christians. If that is not evil, then nothing is.

"all evil" already says what you said, all kinds of evil! if God's Holy Spirit, who authored the Bible thought that, He would have written that.
ALL KINDS OF EVIL = ALL EVIL. Evil is evil. And it is not Satan who is tempted with money either.

Yeah, I looked it up, "all evil" was the meaning of the original text. "all kinds of evil" was the paraphrase. I agree with you both.

@Nehemiah6 - you made a good point that Satan was not tempted with money. So his fall was based on the sin of pride. So the love of money is the root of all evil for humans.

But some people truly are full of pride and they sin because of that. I'm just wondering how pride would tie in to the love of money as the root of it? I can't really see it, but maybe you guys can?

Money brings power and prestige (not to mention a lavish display of wealth in different ways), and that is ultimately an issue of pride. At the same time, money does not have to corrupt Christians if they see it as a stewardship, and that the money actually belongs to God.

That would mean that they would not flaunt their wealth in the least, but invest it in the propagation of the Gospel and the increase of the Kingdom of God, while taking care of the neediest people, particularly Christians. It is unfortunate that even people like John MacArthur and Franklin Graham have taken huge salaries, while poor Christians send in their donations. Also, since Christ told the apostles "Freely ye have received, freely give", calls or demands for donations in public ministries is a violation of the command of Christ.

Forget about synergistic (which means absolutely nothing to 99.9% of Christians). Since John 3:16 & 17 totally refute your beliefs, it is time to believe Christ, not your human coaches.
I agree with you wholeheartedly, the vast majority of “Christians” worldwide have no clue what synergism is (even though they themselves are synergistic).

The Lord himself warns you all, do not follow the majority down the broad road to hell. Repent and believe the gospel of God.

Matthew 7:13-23

[13] “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. [14] For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
[15] “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. [16] You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? [17] So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. [18] A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. [19] Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. [20] Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
[21] “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. [22] On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ [23] And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

It's a simple point. The love of money is one source of evil. It is not every source of evil. Getting the love of money out of your heart won't end sin in your life.

It's also worth noting that in Proverbs 6 where the 6 things that God hates or 7 that are an abomination, love of money isn't listed.

why don't the pastors who claim they can heal go to hospitals, nursing homes, where the sick people are? how about the time copeland had the $ collectors go around to collect every 10 minutes! & he said he could blow away the corona virus. & to not stop tithing? osteen was interviewed once & had 7 "i don't know's" out of 10 questions! 1 ? he was asked is, "are babies saved"? holy heavens, how could you not know the answer to that? everyone born with handicaps not allowing them to be fully cognizant & aware of full possession of faculties & all babies that die go to heaven without any doubt whatsoever!!! i'm suggesting you do a research on these 2 to see who they really are.

"A proud look" would tie into the love of money. Great wealth engenders pride in many.

I would agree. But few have great wealth. It's not the wealth so much as the continual chasing of the means of provision and comfort rather than trusting God for our care. People are consumed by the needs of the present world that they fail to pursue God. You don't need to be wealthy to do this. And this is what Jesus warns about in the latter portion of Matthew 6.
Ultimately, it comes down to trusting God, which is faith...without which we cannot please God.

Pastoring today is employment where the pastor controls the narrative to keep the pay checks coming in. They are peddlers of the Word of God. If their homes are not full, their hearts are false, as they give false testimony not being an example of what it is like to live for the lord but live for themselves. Life is short, eternity forever, store up your treasures in heaven and be wonderfully inconvenienced because of love.

I’m simply pointing out the common denominator of all false teachers/“churches”. They’re all synergistic.

In other words, even if they affirm the Trinity and Christ’s deity but teach synergism of some form, you’ll likely find some other blatant heresy.

All satan’s forms of counterfeit Christianity are synergistic, don’t take my word for it go research it yourself. Roman Catholic, Mormonism, JW’s, “Christian” prosperity Pentecostals and Charismatics, the entire liberal “Christian” church… All synergistic and all blatantly heretical.

“Coincidentally”, all other religions (denying the Trinity and Christ’s deity) such as Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Luciferianism etc. are synergistic as well.

I know you don’t like this because you’re a synergist (OSAS Arminian) but it doesn’t change the facts.

Why didn’t I address Calvinists? Because Calvinists are of the monergistic minority, you won’t find any in the OP’s article or taking part in any such heresies.

No, I’m not a Unitarian but thanks for mentioning them. Also synergists. Lol.
The common denominator is that they have not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
If they did, they would have departed from their bogus ministries.

Act 8:23
For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

I like what Paster Dennis says, Do not ask me about a pastor or denomination by name it is not for me to judge them that is Gods job; BUT we do have the gift of decrement and we need to use it.
I am not a pastor or a group leader; so, I hope you don't mind my 2cents worth.
You give a list of names but what separates you as a pastor or a church leader from these others? What would you say are the bigest lies in the church today.
Isaiah 28
9Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

10For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

11For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

13But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
All you seem to get is milk at best most of the time it is a verse or 2 and then a story about how good Ol uncle Bob and Aunt Sue did it.
#2 The rapture and the fact that if you even question it, you are an outcast.
It seems to me that most pastors have their hands tied because they have to follow the church doctrine rather than The Word of God.
Right along with that you do not have to understand the book of Revelation because we will be gone, or as a church I know of you only need to study up to the end of chapter 3 because that is the end of the church age, and we will all be gone.

Like your thoughts.

Yes that’s obvious. The point I'm making is, where you find heresy you'll likely find synergism. See previous examples.

Here’s another example: Francis Chan.
A graduate of the Masters Seminary, a professed Calvinist (monergist) but in practice not so much. Folks have described him as “Calvinist light” because his teachings and language has been largely Arminian (synergistic) from the beginning.

In recent years he’s admitted openly his doubt of monergism, denies cessationism (admits to speaking in tongues) now he’s running with folks like Todd White, Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn etc. Most recently he’s begun to embrace the Catholic eucharist. His heretical nature is coming to light.

Could we have seen this coming? Many in the Calvinist (monergistic) camp did, they warned of him from the very beginning.
How? Synergism.

Synergism is the default position of fallen man. That’s not to say all synergists are outside the faith (wish it were that easy) but it should always be noted, for at the foundation of all heresy you’ll likely find some form of synergism.

Don’t take my word for it, research it for yourself.

You and your Synergism. You are so oblivious to the fact that you promote a false gospel that it is truly pathetic. As I said before, and will say it again, John 3:16 & 17 totally demolishes Five Point Calvinism. It is simply a house of cards.
