A sinner

Raging winds, bitter night, spiritual battles, a spirits fight. Thought I was strong, standing tall, a stumbling block, one hard fall. Get back up,get off the dirt, it's to painful, there's to much hurt. Keep on praying, stay in your word, Satan laughs, that's all I've heard. Not just me, at you too, "look at him, what did he do". Not just a smile, but an evil grin, what have I done, why did I sin. It's your name, that I call, only you, can break this wall. By your love, mercy and grace, can take me out, out of this place. Pressing forward, need you to lead, please forgive, I beg and plead. On your path, no time to waste, I look for you, look for your face. I surrender to you, as I bow, I deserve nothing, there's no way theres no how. You are much more, greater are you, in all that you've done, and all that you do. When I am weak, you stay strong, you lift me up, when my strength is gone. Why do you love, always to forgive, you are just, to all who live.
Please lord, forgive me and show me mercy, please help us to grow, please purge off our unholy ways about us. Lord as we fall and fail you, lord please forgive us. Help us lord to bare good fruits, help us to love others and show them your love as you have shown us. Lord help us to be a good witness and spread the good news of Jesus Christ our lord and savior. How you love us so much that you sent him to die for us so we may be forgiven and made clean. Thank lord, I love you, I am sorry, forgive me.

Yes that's beautiful. That was God speaking to Israel but I believe it can apply to us too!

I'm not a perfect person, I have slipped and fell backwards. If I'm being honest, I'm ashamed of myself. I feel as though the lord is with me, but there is a wall. I've been in prayer, I've been steady in his word.....but inside, I feel a little empty. I know we are not to go by feelings, for they are like the wind...always changing. But my relationship with the lord is different. I want to grow....not be in this stage. Dose anyone have advice?

I'm not giving advice but encouragement. God does not despise a broken heart or contrite spirit. The fact that you are humble and confessing your failure is huge. God bless you on your journey. Prayers.

Exactly! That lets you know you’re one step closer to God. The Holy Spirit convicting you. God is drawing near to you. Sometimes in our down times, that’s when God’s the closest. He hears your cry and he will neither leave you nor forsake you. The Lord loves you! He loves you with all his heart! So much that he died for you! Even if you were the only person in the world, he still would’ve died for you. You are immensely loved by an all powerful God. Now isn’t that comforting😌. You’re fully known and fully loved. Regardless of your sin, God still loves you. And he will always forgive you and accept you no matter what you do. God loves you. But what he wants to know is do you love him? And how you show God’s love is by repenting and turning from sin. By serving him. By giving your offering with a cheerful heart. By living for him. And sacrificing your life for him, just as he did with you on the Cross. By living according to His Word. Obeying him and walking by faith. When you serve and obey the Lord, he is pleased. He will bless you and be with you and guide you through the fire and through the storm. You will grow stronger in your faith and your love for Christ. So God’s not angry at you. He is well pleased with you. Because you’re his faithful servant. He’s forgiven you. God sees you as a righteous man. He sees the best in you. Even if you don’t see it or if it’s not where you’re currently at. He sees where you’re heading. Which is on the path of righteousness. God bless you sir.

We’ve all been there and it’s ok. As long as we have God, everything will be ok. Seek the Lord and you will find him. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me 😀 ✝️

I also do know what you mean about feelings coming and going. I remember a time I was struggling to know if God forgave me about something, and I read something very encouraging in the Word about Him forgiving. I had to lay hold by faith even tho my feelings were telling me it wasn't true.

Someone made the point about condemnation something like, it's insulting God's integrity to not believe that God forgives you. He promises, if we confess, He forgives! We can trust Him no matter what our feelings says

“There’s no condemnation for those who are in Christ.” The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus has come to give life to the fullest. We can’t live by what we feel or see. We have to live by faith and trust in God’s Word. One day he will manifest his presence inside you. But you have to be patient and strong. In God’s timing. Not ours. Thy will be done, not our will. “God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” 1 John 4:16. Did you hear that? God lives in you! Forgiveness

In Baptism, we were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light - qualified - made able to successfully battle against our flesh - saved from futility, by grace. After being born again, we must fight the good fight of faith, we must abide (remain) in Him, we must endure to the end, we must put to death the deeds of the flesh, walk worthy of our calling, be holy - if so, will be saved eternally. We need grace to do these things, also. If we do not abide in Him, we dry up, are cast forth as a branch, and burned. As we sow, we shall reap - sow to the flesh, reap destruction - sow to the Spirit, reap eternal life. We, if saved from futility by grace, must strive to enter by the narrow gate, stay on the narrow path that leads to life, obtain what John Piper calls “final salvation”, gain what the Apostle Peter calls a salvation ready to be revealed at the last day.
I think that the many verses with a future tense “will be saved” are talking about the eternal state.


My words

There is no 100 percent way to know you are saved. You are being saved. No matter what the talking heads on youtube says or anywhere else says to the contrary.

You must pursue righteousness all your life. Its not your righteousness that saves you, it just proves you were saved to begin with. We must cooperate with Gods grace.

Much easier to say I believe and not be righteous, than to work hard along with Gods grace to do rightly. He wont force you to be righteous.

James 2:18
