I know that a sect called Branhamites believe the serpent was a creature that actually had physical relations with Eve. Cain and Abel were alleged twins and Cain was the alleged fruit of her union with the "serpent". Called the serpent seed doctrine. Definitely seems to be adding to and twisting the historical account in genesis.

The same reason we teach children not to watch pornography it creates evil temptations in our thoughts and desires. Man was created like Jesus he didn’t have any desire to disobey God , Adam didn’t either nor eve

the “sinful nature” we talk of isnt inherently evil it is this inner condition where good and evil re conflicted against one another creating a double mind in man we aren’t created to bear in our mind the knowledge of good and evil because it does this in our mind ( where knowledge effects man )

“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. …but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”

see man is t supposed to have that law of good conflicting with evil desires in our mind we were made pure and good without any sinful evil desire but because they ate the fruit they became filled with the knowledge of good and evil and man was never made to operate by good and evil we were made to walk in Gods image of goodness without any evil conflicting in our mind creating that law of sin that holds us a captive within mans nature Paul’s telling us about in chapter seven

all God was doing was telling man the end from before the beginning when he said “ your free to eat of all the trees in the garden but this one you must not eat from it the knowledge of good and evil ( good versus evil ) now causes us to be conflicted between the two we are Adam and eves offspring and inherit their nature.

now man is easily tempted because our nature conflicts with its own self

thats the issue now our flesh is corrupt and a weakness for temptation and sin but the spirit is our guard and we’ve been given the spirit anew in Christ

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

since they consumed good and evils knowledge man’s flesh and spirit have been in conflict between serving good and evil it’s why we can believe right and still keep doing wrong part of us needs to be executed by hearing and applying Jesus word to our life
