Should you text your ex Merry Christmas?

Would you respond if your ex wished you a Merry Christmas?

Depends on the circumstances. If both of you are friends, and there are no romantic feelings whatsoever, maybe. However if either of you are in a relationship and the other partner does not like it, then no.

I would. We loved each other once.
God reconciled himself to us. We can at least be cordial to our former love in this holiday season.

If you are the only one texting Merry Christmas every year and the other person doesn't send you similar messages (happy birthday, Merry Christmas, etc.), then you should stop.

I might text my ex that if it wouldn't be awkward. If my ex texted me that first I would probably respond regardless of how it made me feel.

Did your ex text you with, "I and (name of person who replaced you) wish you a merry Christmas" or just "Merry Christmas"?

If the ex included the name of the new boyfriend/girlfriend in the Christmas greeting, that's just twisting the knife in your side. I know a few people who would gleefully send a text like that. Fortunately none of them are my exes.

If you're cordial, then why not?

I know some people who would much rather text their ex "Murray Franklin".

I choose to not celebrate Christmas, and I've asked people to stop texting me messages about it. If an ex texted me "Happy Birthday" or something, then, sure, I'd respond by thanking them for their well-wishes.

I never gave that a thought. I hope I never have to figure out an answer to that.

Didn't really ask anything that can be answered as the answer depends on factors not given.
But chances are that if you're asking at all, probably not. If you were on good/speaking terms then you wouldn't be asking.

I wouldnt. If youre my ex I would have your contacts blocked unless we have children together. But the father of my kids...we both moved on and dont really need to keep up appearances anymore.

Should you text your ex Merry Christmas? Absolutely not.
Would you respond if your ex wished you a Merry Christmas? I wouldn’t respond.
But it depends on you. If you are in a good mood and you think it’s okay to respond to your ex, then respond to it. But know the consequences.

No

In a hypothetical world in which I have an 'ex'

I would wish them Merry Exmas.
If an 'ex' sent one to me the phone would probably return the message to the sender automatically.

The wonders of phone technology huh? I am sure that phones block this type of communication, that is why the ex is called an ex...because you have excommunicated them.
