Hi I’m Cheart
I need prayer to know if this man is right for me ? If God ordained this. Is this the right path and if not I need it to be a clear sign and to be cut off immediately so that no one's time is wasted. My current boyfriend is currently incarcerated for aggravated manslaughter, drugs and robbery serving time and will be home soon.

I actually met him while he was in prison, telling him about God and then I found myself falling for him . More so him falling for me and persuing me heavily /consistently and I caved and said yes. He's crazy about me in a good way. But his past , we've talked about and I truly believe he's changed . He's been in for about 15 years and will be coming home very soon.

He needs prayer to find God on a much deeper level than he knows. I need to know what God says about this.

Nice to have you joining us Chearts and welcome to CC! My thoughts on your boyfriend, is that you need to seek the Holy Spirit and ask for wisdom on this. I would definitely take it nice and slow. Get to know him when he gets out as friends, and if that works well, then you'll have a solid bond. God bless and guide you on this and I pray it works out well🙏!

He needs prayer to find God

This needs to happen before your marriage to him, not after. The Bible forbids the unequal yoke.

2 Corinthians 6:14
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

God loves you and knows what is best for you. Trust Him.

Matthew 7:6
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

He may be a nice guy, but he is still a "dog" in the spiritual sense.

we both are believers in God , both believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross , both have a relationship with God , both read our Bible . I’ve been extremely vocal about my faith and where I stand and he is on board with it. We are cut from different cloths and come from different backgrounds & cultures. He had a great life but choose to make poor choices . His most serious charge “manslaughter”, was an incident that occurred in self defense however he left the scene . Couldn’t really explain the others . However we work together in our faith. I send him a lot of books and a Bible to just encourage him. But where I am spiritually he understands, the question is does he deeply understand how I want to raise my children? He does but I think he needs more guidance , really a male figure but idk anyone that I can depend on to help guide him.
