So, How Come so many People can IGNORE and Eye Witness, who worshipped in the TEMPLE, and Put his findings in a History book ? ? ?
YES, I am talking about JOSEPHUS.
QUOTE:
DID YOU NOTICE THAT ON THIS FACT SHEET FROM JOSEPHUS:
But if we go the other way westward, it began at the same place; and extended through a place called Bethso, to the gate of the Essenes: and after that it went southward: having its bending above the fountain Siloam; where it also bends again towards the east at Solomon’s pool, and reaches as far as a certain place which they called Ophlas [what they called the OPHEL], where it was joined to the eastern cloister of the temple. The second wall took its beginning from that gate which they called Gennath, which belonged to the first wall. It only encompassed the northern quarter of the city, and reached as far as the tower Antonia. - Josephus - The Jewish War, Book V, chapter 4.
END QUOTE:
He is saying the Southeast Corner were the Path he was on, JOINS the CLOISTER of the TEMPLE on the East Side, is the OPHEL, and from point West to 600 feet, is the Southwest Corner. The outer walls of the TEMPLE was a SQUARE 600 feet each way.
It is ridiculous, with that SPECIFIC INFO, to IGNORE it, and Cling to False Information that the TEMPLE is on the highest hill.
The Fountain of Siloam was what filled the Pool of Siloam up.

the Fountain of Siloam.
So it apparently was fed by a Water Fall. So Josephus came up the path from the Pool of Siloam, to the southeast Corner of the TEMPLE on the OPHEL. Do the Math, it as NEVER was up top on the highest ground, it was ALWAYS ON THE OPHEL.
What was up on the Highest Hill, that Josephus knew about.
QUOTE:
". . .went several ways among the cloisters, with their arms, on the Jewish festivals,
in order to watch the people, that they might not there attempt to make any innovations;
for the temple was a fortress that guarded the city, as was the tower of Antonia a guard to the temple; and in that tower were the guards of those three (14). There was also a peculiar fortress belonging to the upper city, which was Herod's palace; but for the hill Bezetha, it was divided from the tower Antonia, as we have already told you; and
as that hill on which the tower of Antonia stood was the highest of these three, so did it adjoin to the new city, and was the only place that hindered the sight of the temple on the north. And this shall suffice at present to have spoken about the city and the walls about it, because I have proposed to myself to make a more accurate description of it elsewhere.

END QUOTE:
OBVIOUSLY, the HIGHEST HILL was the So-called TEMPLE MOUNT, and it was CONTROLLED by the ROMANS.
To finish up the previous Post with a black and white photo of two farm houses were the only thing remaining of the City of David, and they look like they were build in the 1800s. I found another Photo, that dramatizes how much soil, or earthquake damage fell away or eroded away:

About 100 feet or more. The Temple East Cloister (Covered Walkway) was there, and the east end of the TEMPLE complex very close to Orange line, go Due west 600 feet and you will be at the Southwest Corner. Since they already found KING DAVID"S Palace, and King Solomon inherited His property when he died. That should not be so difficult to figure out EXACTLY where the HOLY of HOLIES belongs.
