The above is fantastic and the ideal. Yo bring your brother to Christ before all other.

Yet I find this so hard. Those closest to me just do not want to hear it. Like talking to a brick wall, they don't listen to me and recently call me sanctimonious and preachy if I mention my faith in Jesus and offer to study the Bible with them.

It feels so much easier to talk to strangers about the good news of the gospel. I wonder if a lot of people find it easier to spread the word away from home? Even Jesus had this exact problem in that His home town refused to accept Him.

I experience this as well. My former friend circle just doesn't take me seriously. I believe it has to do with the fact that they have grown up with me, seen how I was behaving and now they struggle to believe I am really "in it"
They believe its just a phase. A phase that has lasted for over a decade now by the way, thats a long phase!


I also prefer spreading the gospel to folks who don't know me. I did move to another city as well, maybe one day I shall return and see if things have changed. If God wills it.

Just move on to the next horse. That's what Jesus did. That's what Jesus taught.

Saints, .,JESUS said : a prophet is not honored in his own town.

Even JESUS as he ministered in his home town suffered this. I have found it very helpful to pray for God to raise one up that they will listen to.
Continue in your well doing and let God answer your concerns.

As difficult as it is to see those we love outside the promises of God, we can make the situation worse by continually sharing the gospel in word. So live the victorious life of Christ before them. It will say things to them you that the ears and eyes of the heart cannot resist.
