I am sixteen and I have struggled with feeling wanted. I was dating a guy I could see marrying but my parents didn't allow it because he was nineteen. So I need help

At your age I would put the pursuit of a mate on hold and rather, focus on developing a more deeper relationship with God, further your education, and enjoy the days of your youth without the burden of trying to find a spouse and getting married. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

"Glad you showed up at such a young age.
I suggest you focus on getting through your teen years just as you

are. Today's young folks are up against tremendous odds as it stands,
don't jeopardize this with unnecessary commitment and responsibilities!
Bad mistakes are not retractable."

At 16 you are far too young to think of finding one guy now to spend the next 60 or so years with.

Everything occurs in God's timeline for you. If you go now and look to find a husband because you at this age want to get married, you'll be very disappointed.

Relax. Enjoy your youth and freedom. Finish school, go to university if that is your plan, and enjoy your life.
Certainly you should have standards a young man need meet before you'll date them. Set those high. And whatever you do, never compromise those related to character and integrity because you think his other superficial qualities, like looks, make up for what you see as a deficit in his character and integrity.
Looks fade. Poor character and lack of integrity will cost you forever if you marry.

Remember this too. Never trust a liar.

If you can't trust a man to tell you the truth, if he proves he would rather lie than tell the truth, you can't trust him at all .

Truth is eternal. Lies are tissue that is woven to hide that fact because their weaver has not the fortitude to face truth.

When God puts the right man in your path you'll know it. Never compromise just to be with someone. Because if you do you will miss the one God intends.

God bless you.
