interesting

I used to be in some associations but the subs to register were so expensive and didnt get much from them. Even the local business associations in my town werent doing much ...my former boss wasnt keen on joining them but then again he was in the mall and the mall oweners controlled the tenants to a certain extent dictating when they had to stay open etc.

I thought they were charging a terrific amount of rent and hurting small business owners. And when they couldnt open due to lockdown etc they didnt give them a break. Heartless.

My dad suggested the museum he works at..but am not really into old cars, trams and buses. Although my first job was at an engineering library I am not actually that interested in technology lol

Now there are robots in the library doing my job for me...

It depends what brand you get.

We've had a couple running around the church sanctuary. Big sanctuary, beautiful, but not so pretty from behind a vacuum cleaner so we tried a robot.

First one was pretty basic. Not very good at all.

I don't remember what our current brand is, but it seems to be working a lot better than the first one.

My mum tried to blame me when she couldnt find the tube for the vaccum cleaner and it was in her sewing room all along..she just couldnt find it because it was full of her stuff.

Anyway I noted to the school accountant who is now in charge of watering the library plants...if you like minimilism,, dont work in a library!

One job I WOULDNT like is sorting out all the clothes hangers at Kmart.

That would just drive me nuts. They get tossed in those giant blue wheely bins by the self check out machines. Someone must have the job of sorting them....

Yes, hmm, well... The things you see on the news are not ALL over the USA. Those empty malls are very specific to certain places.

In my region, for a contrary example, shopping malls are still alive and well. And I still sedulously avoid them.

Back at work again, a different school this time
At least they didnt lump me with the other job the librarian was doing, they employed another person to do that.

As organisations expand I think everyone becomes a bit more specialised instead of doing everything you either focus more on one thing or you become like a cog in a wheel and end up doing the same thing over and over till you wear out. That is, if your organisation has no soul and treats you like a robot.
