Dear Younger Me

If it were possible, I would tell my younger self several things that I think would have made the last ten years a bit smoother sailing.


Dear Younger Me,

Trust God’s timing and His plan. Have faith but be sensible to where you believe He’s leading. Your emotions and your discernment are two very different things.

Live the life you have and enjoy it, however small you think it seems. Eventually you will see the beauty in choosing joy over control and wish you had learned to do so a lot sooner.

It might seem impossible now, but you can accomplish those things in your life which you are convinced you can’t. Someday you will realize the freedom and confidence that comes from just believing in yourself enough to try.


What do you think? What would you tell your younger self to prepare them for the life that you are living now?

'Treasure family and friends, make the best of any situation I've gotten myself into or get out of it quickly. Make studying the Word a priority and find your calling, time is limited here'.

I wonder if the younger me would listen to the older me?.. Probably not. I was just that way!

So the question of changing things if you could go back in time is a big fat "YES"

That we aren't promised tomorrow, love everyone around you like its the last day you'll have with them, it very well may be.

The emptiness you feel at this time will pass. When the moment is right, the Lord will embrace you in His arms - you will accept the love of the father and become a new creation in Christ.

That’s a fair point, @RodB651. I’d probably be pretty annoyed with younger me if she didn’t listen. I mean, who does she think she is anyway!?

Ecclesiastes 12

You should all write letters to your pesky younger brothers and sisters. Paul did in the Bible

Who knows?

If you did do things differently, it might have turned out worse.

I guess just be thankful for how things turned out, because it could of been a lot worse.

I think instead of writing to 'younger me' you write a letter to 'older me'

Keep it in a safe place, and open it ten years from now.

Dear younger (what was my name?) me, don't slide across Home Plate, when you can just walk acorss it. My first serious injury was sliding acoss home plate.

Or you could think about how all of your younger selves in the forms of past experiences came together to build you up to where you are right now and marvel at the masterpiece.

Dear younger me-

Please don't worry so much about what others think of you ❤️ Eyes to the Prize (i.e. King Jesus) ✨👑
