Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for singles on how to meet more peope/find your mate.

I am 26, single, faithful to God. I have a good job, I am in a good place mentally, I attend a good church. I work I go to sporting events I hang out in coffee shops, but I just feel like everywhere I look everyone my age is taken.

Any advice?

Please don't say just wait because I've been waiting for years, I'm ready to take action.

Speaking from experience, God blessed me when I wasn't even looking. I was keeping my focus on God and being whole and complete in Him. And then I met Gabriel at church, we began as friends and hiking buddies, then it blossomed into something more. Two years after we started hanging out, we got married. We both were content as singles, but we feel that God brought us together not to complete but to augment each other.

My biggest piece of advice I give singles is the motto that I lived by when I was single: "I'd rather be single than settle." Don't be so eager to find someone that you settle for anyone less than who God has for you.

I with you the best.

Blessings,
Lynn

I would suggest going to the petting zoo........ petting smelly animals surrounded by their own poop will take your mind off being single....

Hello,

Sometimes we feel that we may have missed the right person, but god knows when and where. Just see with your heart and not with your eyes.

I have been waiting on God to lead me to the man l am suppose be with. I have been going to restaurants to try to meet someone and having different pray groups Oral Roberts Womack Sid Roth prayer request. I don't know why God can't just lead me to the man or send him to me right away He knows where he is. No one is suppose to be alone in life

Well, if you found this thread that's 14 years old, then I trust that you'll find a man.

Eh, some would disagree with that last sentence. Some folks are downright happy being alone. It's even in the Bible.

Even so, welcome to the forum Golfball.

I agree. I am not content as a single man, admittedly, but I'd rather be alone than with the wrong person. I've seen some bad Christian marriages. These people are NOT happy. I at least have peace and quiet when I am in my home. I'd still rather have a feminine voice to greet me, but again, better to not have that than have the wrong feminine voice.

Most of my twenties was spent feeling very frustrated about waiting for my future spouse. It seemed deeply unfair that I was ready to get married yet God was holding back that blessing. It didn’t make sense.

You are not alone in your acute desire for a mate. A lot of us are (or have been) disheartened and discouraged in our attempts to find someone. It’s been a comfort to know that I’m not the only one who has struggled with these feelings.

As difficult as it was, I had to learn to live in the waiting. By that I mean I had to keep moving forward in life and let this desire for a mate rest in the hands of the Lord. I can see now that I was not ready for marriage at that time, and I am incredibly grateful that He kept me from meeting my future spouse.

I still leave myself open to the idea and opportunity of meeting someone, but it’s not my focus. I believe there’s someone out there for me but my joy in living life is not dependent on finding them. I’m just taking each day as it arrives and trusting God on the timing.

Does this mean youre a waitress and you are waiting for a man thats dining alone to come to your restaurant table and ask you out? Am not sure whats going on here...could work.

Never done that though. When going on date usually you get to sit and eat with that person instead of serving them. ?!

I don't know where else to go to meet people. Restaurants have a lot of people who go to them. I usually find someone to talk to. I have never met anyone at church.l have been to a lot of churches.
