That guy talks the way I talk, with extemporaneous, unpremeditated sesquipedalianism. Or at least it sure sounds like his big words are off-the-cuff - it sounds like that is the way he always talks.

I wonder if people look at him funny the way they look at me funny. Maybe people where he lives are accustomed to discourse with more vocabulary.

He is totally committed to expanding the gospel message, if you put his Biblical teaching in practice you will see the Lord work through you.

He's interested in expanding the area to which the gospel goes, not the gospel itself. Too many people have expanded the gospel message.

Keep in mind most of us have been taught "religion" and not the Bible.
His command to heal, raise, cleanse, preach, is still in effect, and as He also taught most have an outward form of godliness denying the power.:)(y):coffee:

Sure. But the gospel message is still the same. It is to go to all the earth but never to expand in meaning.
To add or detract makes it no longer the gospel.

Salvation is not the end goal, it is the beginning of growth to become conformed to the image of the Son, most stay and rest at salvation. Hence most may not be able to seek and receive His protection for themselves and their family.

So you mean move on from first principles...not adding to the gospel. Gotcha.

The first thing we learn about Curry R. Blake from the John G. Lake site:

Curry R. Blake
General Overseer of John G. Lake Ministries
Curry R. Blake is recognized around the world as a leading authority on Divine Healing, Charismatic Church History, and the life and ministry of John G. Lake.
His ability to communicate deep spiritual truths in a simple, yet profound manner, has ignited true spiritual revival in Christians worldwide. As a leader in the current Apostolic/Prophetic/Healing Movement, Rev. Blake is considered a spiritual mentor to a large number of the ministries birthed in this current move of God.
Strange, not a single mention of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Looks more like a cult of personality than anything.

Who do you think indwells the believer and works through them to bring health, healing and restoration?
Do you really need to be led around by the hand?

No you don't, sadly, you believe you know.
At this late stage in His plan to redeem His creation it may well be you and dude have been given over.

Hmm... Lots of disparagement going on here suddenly.

I have always found a lot of wisdom in Acts 5:38-39. If this ain't from God it will fail on its own. If it IS from God and we try to tear it down, we might find ourselves fighting against God himself.

If we look hard enough for a flaw we will find it. Shoot, they even found faults to pick at with Jesus.

On the other side, there's no reason to call the fault-finders names and say they have been given over to the devil. If this is from God, they will be fighting against God. Name calling won't be a drop in the bucket of their problems.

It is from God; it's part of the great deception He's sent on those who don't love truth. It's not personal for me, I have nothing personal against anyone; but my conscience won't let me stand idly by when I know something isn't good for the flock.

No one called anyone a name, a warning was given and apparently rejected.
This can be a sign of being given over, even when presented with the truth it will not be perceived. Post #9 reveals pride and arrogance, we come before the Lord with humility, not pride.

So... You're both determined to stick to your guns and criticize each other.

Well, have fun. I guarantee it won't matter at all to that church we are allegedly still talking about.

"My conscience", not the Holy Spirit who Jesus sent to guide us in ALL truth. That is one way that you miss the mark.
