Everyone should note that it is only in the King James Bible that this verse has been accurately presented by showing us that it was GOD (THEOS) who took human form ("manifested in the flesh") as Jesus of Nazareth. All other modern translations have expunged "God" from that verse and substituted another word. Originally a Unitarian was behind this change, or at least made sure that "God" was removed. And this in spite of the fact that all Greek manuscripts have THEOS (abbreviated in the majuscules) (other than two very corrupt manuscripts). Once again this is why Christians should stick with the KJB.
Majority Standard Bible
By common confession, the mystery of godliness is great: God appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, was taken up in glory.

Webster's Bible Translation
And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

World English Bible
Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

Young's Literal Translation
and, confessedly, great is the secret of piety -- God was manifested in flesh, declared righteous in spirit, seen by messengers, preached among nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory!

Smith's Literal Translation
And manifestly great is the mystery of devotion: God was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed in the nations, was believed on in the world, was received up in glory.

Anderson New Testament
And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in flesh, justified in spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

Haweis New Testament
And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified by the Spirit, seen of angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Mace New Testament
the mystery of piety is the pillar and basts of truth; and certainly most extraordinary. God has appear'd in the flesh, been justified by the spirit, seen by angels, proclaim'd to the Gentiles, believ'd by the world, and assum'd into glory.

Worrell New Testament
And, confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifested in flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

Worsley New Testament
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.

Read numbers 14:34; the KJV translation is so bad it actually says God breaks his promises.
Well since you have made that accusation, let's see if it has any validity. You have not even considered the reason why, nor have you looked at the Hebrew.

1. Firstly the Hebrew word literally means "opposition".
Strong's Concordance
tenuah: opposition
Original Word: תְּנוּאָה
Part of Speech: Noun Feminine
Transliteration: tenuah
Phonetic Spelling: (ten-oo-aw')
Definition: opposition

2. Only the NASB has used that word precisely. Other translations have used other words.
New American Standard Bible
According to the number of days which you spied out the land, forty days, for every day you shall bear your guilt a year, even forty years, and you will know My opposition.

3. God was in fact prepared to disinherit the Israelites, had Moses not interceded for them:
6And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: 7And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. 8If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. 9Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. 10But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel. 11And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? 12I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

4. Entry into the land of Canaan was based on a CONDITIONAL PROMISE. Since the Israelites opposed God as seen above, God was in opposition to Israel. Thus this statement is perfectly valid: After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

None of those bibles is in common use! So let's look at the ones in common use and see that what I posted was in fact correct and they all say "He" (or one says "Christ) which is not even in the Greek and could even mean Michael the archangel:

New International Version
Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
New Living Translation
Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
English Standard Version
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
New American Standard Bible
By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
Holman Christian Standard Bible
And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
International Standard Version
By common confession, the secret of our godly worship is great: In flesh was he revealed to sight, kept righteous by the Spirit's might, adored by angels singing. To nations was he manifest, believing souls found peace and rest, our Lord in heaven reigning!
American Standard Version
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen of angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
English Revised Version
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

Favourite verse:

(Revelation 22:13) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

That's terms used for the Father. Obviously Jesus making Himself equal with the Father.

Romans 9:5
John 1:1-3
Zechariah 11:13
Zechariah 12:10
John 20:28
Revelation 22:13

And so many more; I have a list on my old phone but it is dead right now; if I manage to revive it I will post it. Then again you did not ask for exhaustive list of every verses attesting of Jesus divinity but personal favourites. So I must say I do particularly like the Zechariah 11 and 12 ones as they combine showing Jesus is God and also are some of the clearest prophecies about him.
And zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Lk 1:46-47
And Mk 11:1-11

Micah 5:2

AND THOU, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.

Micheas (Micah) 5:2
Likewise, your prophet, Micah, told you that your Messiah shall be born in Bethlehem, and that He was with God the Father from the beginning of Eternity.

This prophecy was fulfilled in Luke 2:4-15.

Thanks why does the Modern KJV not have the 7 OT books and chapters of Esther and Daniel?
Ever read the faith story of Susana in Dan 13?

So on what basis are you assuming that I did not look at the hebrew?

God does not break his promises; he made it very clear from the beginning that we had a choice between life and death, blessing and curse. His promise does include "promising us death and curse" if we disobey. So this is indeed opposition or "knowing what it is to have him as an enemy"; and NOT breaking his promise.

Those are NOT "seven OT books". Those are all a part of the non-canonical (not inspired) Apocrypha. Only Catholic Bibles have those extra books but they have also mishmashed them into the OT.

Had you done so you would not have attacked that translation in the KJB. And had you looked at the total context you would have understood why the KJB translated it the way they did.

I did in fact study the hebrew of this text when I first got stumbled by reading this verse in the KJV; I first checked a list of other translations and seeing as they all differed so much I checked with the hebrew; and did indeed carefully watch the word "תְּנוּאָתִֽי"; and seeing as you seem to understand the word means "opposition" I can not fathom that seeing that you would still construe "breach of promise" and "opposition" to be the same thing.

You are slandering the character of God.

Anyway, if it seems good to you to rely on this old translation that was made at a time we had much less manuscripts available and a lesser understanding of biblical hebrew and greek; feel free to do so.
But stop teaching the nonsensical idea that it is some kind of flawless translation and that every other one is corrupted.
Also, maybe try to answer your brothers and sisters out of love rather than out of fleshly pride. That might help in your future interactions.
I will leave it at that; have a good day.

The original Kjv had them until the English Bible society deleted them by the tradition of men, the Wycliffe Bible has them? The Jews accepted them but not those in Jerusalem cos they said there are no Hebrew manuscripts but at the Dead Sea scrolls they found Hebrew manuscripts, I guess cos Luther said so James is not scripture and many in the early church did not include the book of revelation, so who has authority to say what is and what is not scripture?
Scripture the “supposed” only authority dont say? Thanks
