Wait! You mean other people in the world are not familiar with this strange American tradition? Yay!!

Umm....it's a ball that is at the top of a building in times Square in New York.
On new years they "drop" it to ring in the new year. (Actually, it slowly descends)
If they'd actually drop it it might be worth watching.

This is my take on it. 🤷

Ok thanks. I was thinking it may have been when they start a football match and they bounce the ball up in the air and the game starts from there. I was completely wrong :oops:o_O
