God is...?

God is the author of Peace. God is Peace.

He is the end of vanity and strife. He brings rest to the weary.

As we go through different seasons in life, a particular name or attribute of God attends that time...

When we talk about our personal experiences with God, we might want to be especially careful in HOW we talk about them, and HOW we present them.

People are different, and have different experiences... we don't all have the same experiences.
One person might feel certain attributes of God were more pronounced in certain seasons of life... and another person might not feel any such thing.
Furthermore... this isn't a thing prescribed in scripture.


So although I think it's great to be talking about attributes of God, and about how God moved in our lives, and taught us things... I think we should just be careful that we don't accidentally make our personal experiences sound expected, or required.

For me, it seems like God gives me what I need at just the right time. In the meantime, I’ve discovered that, even though there is a feeling of uncertainty leading up to getting what I need, the delivery has always been there. In between the waiting and delivery, there are often troubles, concerns, worries, etc that can distract us.

So I believe God is faithful in this regard even when we are feeling weak and barely have the energy to focus our attention exclusively on the good things of life. Life just isn’t full of good things for anyone. However, our trials are like a training ground to hone our faith and trust. As God continues to prove Himself faithful, we will see that nothing is enough to make us concerned or worried for long as we remember Him who is faithful. Glory to God.

The verse that took waiting to delivery from a time of apprehension to a time of hopeful expectation for me was Philippians 2:13. When it finally dawned on me that God was using the circumstances of my life to work out the things He was working in, every day became an adventure to me.

It can become even more adventurous than that.

I wish it was always like that.
God is a revealer of secrets, & sometimes those secrets bring a melancholy to His child when He shows them. When you see judgment coming to a person or group, it can sadden the christian who knows about it because the person/people are brethren.
These last days have many judgments coming to the churches because judgment must come first to the house of God.
Jeremiah wasn't the weeping prophet for nothing.

I would just be glad to see God getting what He wants even if His judgements can be difficult to understand. I support that. It's all part of the adventure.

Was Jeremiah excited in his 'adventure' when his father disowned him for being a prophet? When he was thrown in a well?
What about when the king of Babylon gave him a free pass out of judgment when Judah was being walked back to Babylon?
The list goes on & on.
My 'adventure'...... watching my church go blindly into judgment, & I am able to see it?
When your heart is in it, and you see your friends go into it, it's not a bed of roses. It's very sad.

As we go through different seasons in life, a particular name or attribute of God attends that time and is often extended and manifest to us in ways we previously haven't known. How is God making Himself known to you these days?

Everyday. God is there every second of the day. From the moment we wake to the moment we go to bed. He's there. If I call myself a Christian it's because I know God. God has been through all seasons of my life. I got so far thanks to Him. The fact that I know Him, that many of us here know Him and believe in Him by itself is the greatest privilege in life there is. It's not just in good times that we recognise God in our life. But in our low times and bad times as well. Through the good and bad, highs and lows of life, God is there. I'm always thankful for His mercy.

In my happiness, I remember my God. In my suffering, I call on Him. I'm always connected with my God. I'm not perfect. I'm flawed in some ways. But I can't live without Jesus. So, if you ask me a time, I would say right now. I don't live a life separate from Jesus. I try not to. I'm not vocal about this in my life. I keep it to myself. But this is my life. How I see and experience God in my life.
