I take it you missed my post below. And the ignore system is so good in this forum that I wouldn't have even seen your comment if a friend hadn't pointed it out to me.
Isn't it kind of counterproductive to be responding to someone you have on ignore?. Your ignores are a lot nicer than mine because when i used to do it that person would pretty much cease to exist. I had a user by the name of willy on ignore for years and i had forgotten about him until someone posted that he died. I wish i had been more understanding back then though and not so quick to cross him out. These days i try to work with people rather than just cross them out because it builds character development, that plus holding grudes is bad for health.

You never know, dealing with someone who makes you want to tear your hair out right now might actually be preparing you for something more challenging in the future.

was reading through this old thread and wondered what the deal with @cinder was?

As if shed never done Bibles in schools or lost her job because of her faith and standing up to secular bosses. Oh cos Lanolin dont know anything right and is just sounding off? hmm
Really?

Are you really so bored today that you dug up an old argument just to have something else to complain about? Is time really hanging that heavily on your hands?

This is why so many people have you on ignore. This is also why you got fired, by your own recounting of the incident - not because the new boss is secular, but because you chewed her out.

What are you doing with so much free time anyway? Shouldn't you be out looking for a job or something? Maybe you can find a job where the boss will let you chew her out and use her for a doormat, and allow you to do things your own way.

It is beyond stupid to respond to someone you ignore. The whole pupose of ignoring someone is so you dont need to respond to them. It doesnt give you the right to trash them in front of everyone else just because you dont see THEIR posts.

I had a test recently when went to a new church, got hit on by a male member there, he wasnt interested in the gospel but my body and called me 'babe' and then 'girl' and I was over it.

I was like. Ok Lord. What am I doing wrong. We had these street evangelism nights but he didnt want to go to those he just wanted me to come over to his place at night to keep him company. I was like what.

Is it to spread the gospel or is it just to get married.
Mine is definitely to spread the gospel by any possible, biblically-sound means. I haven't had anywhere near the type of success rate that I desire while doing so, but I still try to plant the seeds of the gospel wherever and whenever I can.

Marriage? Highly unlikely that it's in the cards for me. Like maybe a one in a billion chance. Sticking with the cards analogy, I'm just trying my best, with God's help, to play the hand that he has dealt me. Although it would be nice to have the right female companion, I ultimately trust that God knows what is best for me. He's the potter, and I'm the clay. If I'm meant to be a vessel who stands alone in order to best fulfill his purposes in my life, then so be it. This doesn't mean that I don't ever think about a possible mate, but it does mean that such thoughts make up a very, very tiny percent of my overall thoughts. Like 1% or less.

And has anyone here been on mission trips, if so, can you share what its like. Thanks would love to know. How do you know when and where you are called?
I was supposed to go on a mission trip to Russia many years ago, but I backed out of it after attending just the first meeting. In that meeting, what I believe to be the true gospel message was blatantly and openly mocked, and "friendship evangelism" was pushed in its place. Now, my mission field is simply wherever I am at any given moment in time. Again, I haven't had anywhere near the type of success rate that I desire, but I do believe that I have, with the help of God, positively influenced some people in relation to the coming kingdom of God, and I'm thankful for that.

That is crazy guys should know that makes a girl want to get further away from them when they act like that. At least a decent girl.

Maybe he found you to be attractive and worth getting to know. The guy has to work on his approach though, looks like he was kind of crude.

Unfortunately, a lot of males, who I have a hard time calling real men, don't see women in the way that God would have them to see them. A godly man would never talk to a woman like that or behave himself in such a manner around her.

He sounds like "a male member", if you know what I mean.

What is my mission...
I used to probably see marriage as my goal almost. But in the past two years much has happened in my life to change my perspective. God has been teaching me a lot thru experiences, heartbreak and more. Surrender. I want to have open hands before Him.
Now my mission for now I guess is serving my family... and I pray that God will open other oppurtunities of service.

Surrender and service are truly what it's all about. We must, according to Jesus, lose our lives to find them. It is only in dying to our own wills that we can truly fulfil the will of God. It's easier said than done, but it can be done if we stay in God's word and prayer while allowing our mindsets to be conformed to his mindset. The book of Ecclesiastes has helped me tremendously towards meeting this goal myself. In light of the reality that we're all going to die one day, with the exception of those believers who are still alive at Christ's coming, we need to have eternal mindsets and not get sidetracked by the vain things in this life.

Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

my family, ie. the ones who gave birth to me, the ones I grew up with are the ones that need the gospel the most. If I cant be salt and light to them what am I doing?

I think if you are in a place where you can reach out thats great, but if you are in a non christian family the test is to stay faithful within it.

CC the final frontier. These are the voyages of the G00WZship Enterprise. My continuing mission, to explore strange new posts, to seek out new threads and new comments. To boldly go where no man has gone before.

ha I sometimes seek out old threads because Im sure I might have missed something before and want to carry on with it.

Anyway my last mission was quite tough in a secular private school. You cant really say you are a christian because that would offend the non christians, who often think you are out to preach and lure them into a cult. The school had actually sold out to mammon, but the children had no choice as their parents paid for them to go there.
There seemed to be a lot of lying, stealing and cheating going on in that school, even with the admin. It could have become a den of thieves were it not for christians going in and being salt and light.

I sometimes meet student teachers who are christians and some tell me they really only want to work in a christian school. But if they are really missions orientated they will be willing to work in a public school or a secular private one!

I nearly did work in a den of thieves (prison) but God didnt open the door for me for that one. Though ive heard another prison had an opening for a librarian. The last time went there to drop books, gave them a whole box of new testament gospels, so I do hope they received them. You never know how God will use you, whether you actually work there or not.

Smuggling Bibles into places is where theres no Bibles is quite a mission. I was at one bookshop and the owner had to sell tarot cards etc because a lot of witches lived in the area and they had money.
But I also built up a faith section so, at least the bookshop had Bibles as well and scripture cards

At the last school the boys were all into Lego and Minecraft....well I made sure they had Brick and Minecraft Bibles lol

My mission is to be an image bearer of the Image and Word of God. That is to be a little Christ rather than a little devil. How this is to play out specifically I do not know. I think it has something to do with writing and art, but I am not certain.

Graffiti or signwriting? I think a lot of church billboards and signs could do with sprucing up. Not everyone goes on fb these days, sometimes people actually look around outside and read the signs too.

I'm thinking more traditionally. Art wise I'm thinking fantasy art and comics. Writing wise I'm thinking novels, short stories and screenplays.
