Please pray for Anthony

Pray for my nephew Anthony. My sister and her husband have screwed things up for him so much. He has court this week because of his tickets that they didn't pay. I'm hurt and disappointed in them. They've always neglected him and put his brother over him

Why would or should they pay for his tickets?
Is he a minor?

I'm sorry, but if he has unpaid tickets, it sounds like he screwed things up for himself.

But I will pray the right thing be done by all and for all involved.

I can relate somewhat. My older brother always the good guy and me always told, look at you brother he is ok and you are like your expletive father good for expletive and good for nothing. Got a bit worse than just tickets for me. Wiil say a prayer for Anthony.

He just turned 18 ,still in school and isn't working. Exactly how is he supposed to pay without his parents help? Parents btw that neglect him . But go on and blame the kid. Everyone always does.

in Anthony's case he's the oldest and it's his young brother who's the favorite.

My sister actually told my mom maybe he could go to jail instead of paying the fines. Think about that. Instead of helping her own son , she'd rather see him in jail and before you cast a stone at him ,let me tell you he's a good kid. He's not on the streets causing problems. He's a video game nerd. He streams Fortnite. My sister and her waste of skin husband have always treated him like crap. If things go bad I'm never forgiving them. They'll be dead to me. I'll cut them off forever.

We better pray for your sister too and even her husband. My thoughts and prayers for all of them and you too.

I've thought about it, and honestly I see nothing wrong with your sisters comment. And yes, I am a parent, so I am reading your comments and with what little information you've given I am asking myself if it's right/fair.
Now let me ask you, how is she "helping her son" if she just throws money at his problems and doesn't deal with the underlying issues that got him into trouble to begin with?
I'm not casting stones at him, I'm sure he is a "good kid". But even "good kids" screw up sometimes and need to learn to grow up and take responsibility for their own actions.

Still praying for all of them and you too. Very difficult situation. But your sisters comment is hopefully just her frustration. You need to remain as calm as possible or you might get yourself in a bad way. Hopefully Anthony didn't hear his mom's comment but if he did would he take it to heart? That would be bad.

I'm with you on this and am trying to see what is happening from Anthony's perspective. Even though my situation growing up was vice versa like I said previously, it seems the potential for the situation to escalate is there.

Sounds like you are trying to do an intervention and I understand that is a difficult thing to do. Particularly since you are family too. My heart goes out to you for your concern. When you lie down to sleep talk to God about it. Even if you are super tired out just tell God you need help for all of you.

Remember we should even pray for our enemies or ones that seem like enemies. i.e. waste of skin husband

Also, if Anthony is in the USA, I don't know where you are, tell him to look for work with some big company like Comcast where they have many different opportunities and many different types of jobs to fill. Big companies have all kinds of needs. Many young people feel intimidated with job interviews and the search can be frustrating and Anthony might need encouragement. Although now online is being used and that may be way different.
