Yet how many people will say they deny all others yet accept a Check on the 1st & 15th of the month from the Place where they live?
Who receives a check on the 1st and the 15th of each month?

I receive a check on the 1st of each month, but that is monies I have paid all of my life in SS taxes from my wages. Actually I am not given constant coast of living raises nor the interest it is certain the government attuned from holding my money for decades.

That doesn't apply to you. Now, does it?

Now I’m confused. Who then does it apply?
I think you have a good question so I will try to answer it.

In context to my comment, some may be here or not, were many I know who have said:

A nation is not my citizenship heaven is, so whatever happened to that nation, in this case, the United States, doesn't matter because I don't identify with America or the country where one lives. Who call themselves Christians.

Yet those same people who say such things receive from the Government welfare that feeds them, Section 8 that homes them, and many other things one gets who HAD to identify with the Nation they are from or living in.

I guess that is rendering to Ceaser what is Ceaser's and to God what is God?

The point is I find it hypocritical that one who will not work yet receive from a nation what they did not work to get, and as that nation is in a downward degression will say I'm a citizen of heaven but will get all they can from the government before they check out and call themselves Christians.
I have an issue with that.

I hope that answered your question :)

There are nations who did, in fact, repent, and God did not bring Judgement on them. I disagree.

The God I serve said he would not destroy Sodom if there were 10 righteous in the city. There are more than 10 righteous from the USA on this site. Who is crying out to the living God asking for revival and mercy.

Thank God Paul from the Holy Spirit said

Where sin did abound, Grace did much more abound, but should we sin more that grace abounds more? God Forbid.

Yes, Gods time table will happen, but that doesn't mean the United States has to be removed from the face of the earth.
Next to Great Britain, China, and many other counties that have been in existence and evil, God is still merciful.

There is a remnant. The church is still alive and has an opportunity to push back and see the gates of hell not Prevail. That is what Jesus said. WE will see persecution, war, and much before the coming of the Lord. But the gospel is to still be preached..
Much of what you say I can agree with but there's not much of a remnant from the Church any more.

It's a sham and a disgrace and looks more like the world itself than the world does.

No way would Christ be happy about it.

He would treat today's Church like He did the Pharisees, Saduccees, and other zealots who turned the House of Worship into a den of thieves but now it's littered with homosexuality and other self righteous idolatries.

You definitely answered my question and I agree completely with your sentiments. I gave Oyster a like for his comment because I love the magnitude of his faith in Jesus so please don’t think I’m being hypocritical for liking both your statements. Thanks for answering. 😊

I agree 100%. And while we're at it, churches should probably start displaying signs: "Please, no welfare money accepted here."

Nationalism is not the only problem here. I see much pride. Many seem to be patting themselves on the back and entertaining thoughts of self-sufficiency apart from God's grace and mercy.

In a sense, we are all dependent on God's manna and His ravens.

Revelation 19:1
“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:”

You can wait till you get to Heaven, but I am going to start singing now.

Acts 17:28
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance."

God has blessed nations who have relied on and believed in HIM. God has spared Nations who have repented. God Brought up nations and caused them to fall. Love one's nation is not a sin. It is part of good stewardship.

The answer?

2chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Jesus said in the last days, the love of many will wax cold, YET the church, the gates of hell, will not prevail against it.

The church must repent for the nation and cry out to god, as did Daniel. If not, you will cry out when you fall into captivity.

God said after speaking of the coming Judgment, Jeremiah 18:8 said

"if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it."

God has always answered to humbleness and repentance, calling on the name of the Lord Jesus.

Jesus said in Revelation 2 many times to the church :

5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

REVELATION 3

3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

6 TIMES Jesus Mentions to the churches REPENT!

If you don't stand for the word of God when it is unpopular, you will not stand for the word of God when it is illegal. Very soon, the decision to deny him or not will be among us, and then you will either stand by the power of the Holy Spirit as you are supposed to be doing now, or you will crumble as many are now. If you can't obey the Holy Spirit now when he says to get to work, you will not do so. You have been deceived. All your knowledge and never arriving to stand in the faith will not save you. The expository study that you have learned in your mind and have not used in your walk is meaningless.

2tim 3:5-7

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Pray, call on the lord's name; we all must stop wasting time. Fast and Pray for one another. We need to lay at the altar of churches and seek HIS face. Keep knocking, keep asking, and keep seeking the lesson of opportunity. We must turn our hearts back to God as never before.

John 15:19
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Joshua 24:15
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I think you are taking the text out of context. Jesus loved the people and the nation of Isreal. But the love for God must be greater.
To suggest that loving your nation is the same as loving the world and perversion in it is a false narrative. The Lord called us out and saved us from our sins so we could proclaim the gospel message to that world he called us out of. The world was made Good by GOD, and sin corrupted it. The world will be renewed by God and be as HE created it to be. Context is important.

I think I am not.

I think it is not a false narrative. We are to come out and be a separate people. Cast away the unclean thing and the unequal yoke. I don't know why some love it, but we must all leave it if we wish to enter the Kingdom of God.

Amen. The Lord has called us out of it and into His marvelous Light. We agree on this. (y)

it seems you were equating loving one's nation as being in love with the world it is not. Unwilling to give up the pleasure of the world that are listed in the word of God that what John 15:19 is saying if you read what Jesus said before this in verses

John 15:19
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Before Jesus said this, he taught them about The kind of love that lays down its life for a friend. in verses 9-15

after which he then tell them in 16 how he chose them. And also sent them back into the world to win the lost.

18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.
If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.
