This short video popped up on YouTube, and I watched it. It's a bit old, but it's certainly not outdated.

I felt that it was worth sharing, and this seemed like the best forum to share it on.

Don't say
I love you
Too soon
Late nights
Holding hands
Staring at the Moon
A moment in time
Your feelings can lie
So don't say
I love you
Don't say I love you too
Don't say
I love you
Too soon

That should read:

On romantic nights
Your feelings can lie

But, yeah, I've definitely uttered those words to soon in my past. I later learned that I loved the romanticized delusion of who I thought I knew only to have my eyes painfully opened later on to the type of person I was truly with.

is this some heartbreaking tragedy we should know about?

Or was it another case of meeting someone who was the devil in disguise....again.

If these questions were meant for me, then no. That video just popped up on YouTube, and I thought that it contained some good advice for everyone in general, so I posted it.

Yes and seek God earnestly before getting into a serious dating relationship. I had concerns beforehand but was so excited I kind of plunged ahead. We fell deeply in love and even were engaged but God did not give me peace with moving forward and I had to break the engagement. It was indescribably painful, a valley I haven't fully passed thru yet. I hope it can be an encouragement for others, though, to really seek the Lord about dating/marriage. If God is telling you to break it off, do it soon. I know for me at least there were several times I know if we would have stopped and at least taken a break, it would have saved a lot of pain.
