Hello Mia. As stated above, there have been problems with the chat app for sometime now. Most of the people using the forums here are comfortable using the forums and may not even use the chat app when or if it becomes available.
I suggest that you look through the forums to find a thread that interests you and join in on the discussion. Hope you and your family have a happy and safe holiday season.
