Often on this site, in our attempt to offer help to others, we can inadvertently have the opposite effect. So I thought perhaps we could share a verse that encourages us and tell why, and in the process, encourage others.
An example might be Romans 8:28 because it reminds the Christian that God's sovereignty even turns our mistakes into that which is profitable to us.
What encourages you?

What verse encourages you?
Too many to mention, for many encourage, inspire, and comfort me.
From Romans alone I have well over 100 panels in my images folder for such things.
That may really only be about 50 total due to sizing and file extension types ;)
Here are a few of my faves of those :D

Romans 8:15-16

Romans 8:38-39 Psalm 91:11
Romans 10-13 + Galatians 3:5~ Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you obey the law, or because you hear and believe? :)

Thanks for sharing. You get extra points for artwork but not for volume.

Jesus wept.

I love this verse for so many reasons.
In this verse we see that even God Himself when He entered this configuration, this reality, or realm, or fallen world, or whatever you want to call it, even He being God himself showed emotion and compassion.
This to me is very important because when I see many people who don’t have any compassion or empathy , it’s very difficult for me to understand How and Why they are like that.
I mean, this touches on so many levels of suffering daily in the world or when losing a dear friend of a family member. Some people are like “Oh well, they’re in heaven now. Let’s go to the gun range and shoot some guns”. Some people are incapable of compassion or trying to put themselves into the position of the person they’re speaking to, without knowing that everyone faces a struggle, or even worse when they know what the other person is facing and they act like jerks anyway or like sadists.

This simple verse also tells me the Love that God has for us. Because if Jesus didn’t love his friend he wouldn’t have cried and he wouldn’t have gone to the cross if He didn’t love us. So, we have a caring and loving God.

This verse also shows the power of God and the Hope we have in Him because this is one of the examples when He raised people from the dead or when He rose from the dead and defeated Death itself.

I dunno but I love this so much and I can’t even describe my full emotions right now.

i think this verse is what impacted my life for the better I’d always been a believer but this opened my eyes and really became the greatest Hope a man as me could imagine

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

The reason is that it is repeated many times in many ways in the Bible but also just what it says death is the natural fear of us all it’s what we see as a finality and ending of ourselves

jesus is promising “ no death is not the end listen to what I’m saying and you shall have eternal life and never be condemned but have already passed from the pains and chains of death “

To me , especially as I’ve gotten old and aporia tbat eventuality of my body being bound to death and decay , it has left hope and faith in me that is much like the thief on the cross who Jesus promised as he faced death momentarily that he didn’t have to be afraid because it was just a doorway into his kingdom a paradise with Jesus ahead beyond and passed the end for those of the world

The promise of Jesus for eternal life and victory and deliverance from death is the most encouraging part of the doctrine in my own heart

eternal life , wow that sounds good to a mortal who’s aware that they are approaching death

Amen. Thanks for sharing.
Speaking of aging I'm reminded of a story. At dinner each evening we have a Bible reading and discussion. When we were going through the book of Joshua God refers to the aging Joshua as old and stricken in years. Ever since then when my kids call me old it is always followed by and stricken in years.

how are you able to coordinate the colors so well ? Is that something you have learned and plan or just a natural gift ? I’m so artistically challenged lol

It must be something I have learned and developed an eye for... but I also have a long
history in the arts industry as a photo finisher/colour corrector/printer/quality control.
It was literally the only thing I knew I wanted to do for work as an adult, and God blessed
me with my very first lab job which I started on the day of my 21st birthday, which I long
considered a gift from the Spirit of the Universe at the time, since I was not a believer in
those days. Most of what we do now is digital, and it was at work where I learned a few
remedial photoshop skills which stand me in good stead for the Scripture panel designs
I do, since I have no real formal training in it, and may know less than 10% of the program :)
I just returned to work part time after being laid off for almost three years, so 38 years and
counting at this place, five years at my second lab job (my first on the west coast), and
a year and a half at that first place in my home town :D God is good!!!

Wow that’s a wonderful story . So it was something you always had inside the desire to do it , and God brought it to pass and has obviously enabled you to excel at it !!! At least that’s my opinion

He surely is so very good all the time , and all the time he is so good to us despite our shortcomings At any given point

a thanks truly for sharing your talent and passion

P.s. if I ever decide to redecorate lol I’m gonna need your eye !!!

Thank you so much brother Pilgrimshope :) Yes, my dad was a bit of a photo buff, taking many pictures
documenting our childhood and even from before he married my mother, and I think that also contributed
in some way to my leaning, which was fairly artistic from a young age. I was a high school drop-out and
then dropped out of college, too, as I was very lost and not in a very good place emotionally in my teens
and twenties, and probably not throughout my thirties and/or forties either LOL. I fell into drug addiction
and alcoholism as a teen and did not come out of that until I cried out to God for help when I was thirty nine.
The God I did not even believe in, the One I had run from the greater part of my life until then! Within days
I lost the desire to use after twenty four years of constant use and abuse which had at times hospitalized me
for various reasons, such as a number of overdoses. Twenty years ago I relapsed after eight years of sobriety,
but am now coming up to 12 years clean and sober :D One thing I know for sure is that God is good and
has shown me much grace in allowing me to survive the stupidity of my youth (y)

I'm Eph 6 old school infantry
The frontline aye I’m somewhere on your flank

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s where the children of God rise up , and gear up for the fight . It’s good that we have the same c.o. And same victory plan

“For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“…and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭5:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s quite a moment when we acknolwedge that there is a war happening and we’re part of it maturity comes rapidly when we step into the fire

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith,

knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:8-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

True sister in Christ , this is a genuine and very powerful and heartfelt testimony of what the lord has done in your life’s past , what he’s doing presently , and of course in your heart is forming the true hope of what he’s going to do in the future

Knowing you here is beautiful and inspiring to Me in many ways the above post is one that can be felt dorectly in my heart even as I tear up a bit and my knuckles and wrist is aching ,

I just want to say you are a blessing to me more than you probably understand your heart for God our father is evident and again I don’t know another word to express it but inspiring

a you often add fire to the flame in my heart for the lord I appreciate you and know others do also

God is so good that good seems to little a word sort of the definition of Good is our lord and savior

a may he continue to lift you up from any struggle which may come and I know he will because your faith is strong in him I believe that truly
