The people of the USA seem to be losing interest in Christ and Christianity and what they have to offer. Many are just interested in the material things that this rich country has to offer. Maybe they have too much in terms of material wealth and that's where they're pinning their objectives in life.

Instead of Christianity being the 'NORM' for the country, it's taking backseat and has become just a 'Counter Culture' to the real culture of the country.

I think it might be due to crazies like Greg Locke, Kenneth copeland, westboro baptist,
Or charlatans like Joel osteen. It gives Christianity a bad name

What I am seeing is that those who are interested in Christ are becoming more and more focused on Him as they see the day approach.

I am also seeing a polarization in this country just like Jesus said. The Tares are being gathered together into bundles and the wheat is being gathered together into bundles.

Phony baloney in name only Christian isn't going to cut it.

I would also point out the numbers should be viewed differently, just as an ounce of gold is worth more than an ounce of hay, even though they both weigh the same. The bible says 2 shall chase a thousand. So if you have 2 genuine believers that is weightier than 1,000 unbelievers.

So then, even if 0.2% of the country are genuine believers that is a very powerful number.

This is is every country, not only US. Some are even worse.

Look at Sweden. Probably one of the most godless nations on the planet. And highest rape rate in the world after South Africa.

Here in Lithuania everyone is "Catholic" by culture, but many of them are basically baptized heathens.

The sexual assaults in Sweden and other European countries are mostly perpetrated by Muslim immigrants and everyone is afraid to say anything because they don't want to be called "racist"
Ayaan Hirsi Alii talks about this in her books

I kind of think that Christianity has let down so much that it is more like a social club. It's a pity.

Yep, can't disagree there. And they are the loudest voices out there. A lot of them sound good too if you don't know your Bible.

Greg Locke was going on about how allegedly the Freemasons were sending him threatening emails but conveniently for him he could not produce the emails.
He claims they hacked his email and deleted them.
Then he claims that the local sheriff department threatened him to not hold a book burning and then later he changed his story and said the sheriff department was supporting him.
It sounds like he's full of doo doo

Yeah these people are way out in left field. I don't listen to a thing they have to say. The make these weird comments and then once in a while they may hit it right. No one to hold them accountable.

And not that long ago a Lithuanian company announced they were selling potato chips supposedly with the flavor of a woman's privates. Probably the biggest stupidity I ever heard in my life. So don't think the US nails it with sickness.

right, most dont ever pick it up and read it for themselves....as it has been said....going to church doesnt make you a Christian anymore than standing in your garage makes you a car

Amanda London analyzes a 1960's song and the analysis is interesting and possibly nostalgic for some. The responses at the end of the article are also interesting. Particularly 'anonymous' who claims to be the performers friend. May just be that this applies to OP's 'statement' or question.https://www.songmeaningsandfacts.com/barry-mcguires-eve-of-destruction-lyrics-meaning/

Lithium
Possible revival of peaceful applications of materials used in nukes.
He later remarked that the explosion brought to mind words from the Bhagavad Gita: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."[2][note 2] In August 1945, the weapons were used in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I not sure lithium is the greatest thing since sliced bread though.

There is a lot of it in Peru.

The Bible says people would beat their swords into pruning hooks and spears into plowshares i.e we are all going to become gardeners.

instead of waging war.

So I wouldnt give up hope yet.
