A great majority of Americans favor 'Gay Marriage'. The US Congress, Supreme Court, and the President are leading the charge to 'codify' gay marriage. They want to teach this as morally acceptable, to children in schools.

Unfortunately, this puts Christians in a spot. Jesus clearly stated that 'Marriage' is between a man and a woman."

So, Christians will have to make their choice, as the ways of the USA and Jesus are directly opposed to one another.

Personally, I'll stick with what Jesus teaches.

The great majority of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah also favored homosexuality. They received fiery judgment for their choice, and so will America. It is high time for Christians to send the members of Congress and the Senate a message that they have asked for fire and brimstone and they will get it. The absolute stupidity if this is beyond belief.

If the marriage between man and woman is really enviable, I don't think so.

There is no such thing as experience.

An American soldier was murdered for falling in love with a transgender man.

You keep your eyes on the beam or balk.It doesn't make you a better person. But it could turn into a murderer and a mastermind who hates a group.

Why don't you get Congress to pass a law to capture all divorcees?

What a disgrace.

The erasure of Christ from institutions has been a long-term project of Satan and has led to millions being deceived into accepting sin.

We have to restore Christ back into all areas of public life.

Don't you think that is a job for our God?
I cannot, nor would I want to force God on anyone without consulting our Maker.

Until He instructs us, I believe it best to allow these last moments of what is called time to be played out according to His will. He needs no help from His creatures.

As long as the majority of Chruch goers and founders are making hay and not faithful followers I will continue to watch and wait while doing my best to hear and do what our Savior, Jesus Yeshua has taught us.

The radical left is doing everything they can to transform the Unired States into a Godless, borderless, marxist, socialist, disarmed, Sodom and Gomorrah America under Satan. We are heading for a major meltdown in America and I'm thoroughly convinced that I will see it in my lifetime.

I say this is not a church issue, it is a social issue, if we wish to have the freedom to follow Christ [which we most certainly do] then we must allow others to be free to follow a different life style. You cain't legislate righteousness.

The only thing we should fight for is the right to follow Jesus and to bring up children in the faith.

Unfortunately the two go hand in hand. In Australia anyway. Now that the LBGTQI movement has taken a strong hold of society, Christian’s schools our now being dragged to court for discrimination, for no other reason than professing their biblical beliefs within their school. As our social fabric deteriorates, so does the secular society’s tolerance of Christian faith.

That is challenging and needs much prayer and wisdom.

I think Christian children can give a better witness to Jesus than telling their classmates they are all going to hell. We must teach them that.

It is a challenge.

I think there's a huge difference between governments that persecute, prosecute, tolerate, and sanction homosexuality.

We should absolutely be against the sanction of homosexuality. I definitely agree that people cannot be coerced by government into following Jesus... but at the same time, you don't want the government sanctioning homosexual behavior, and creating homosexual institutions. This has led, and will only lead to persecution of Christians. It's happened already, with the gay-wedding-cake fiasco. If I was a cake-maker, I would also feel obliged not to give provisions for a gay-ceremony: but if you don't, they want to take away your cake-making license... they are trying to coerce people into gay-acceptance: that's religious persecution.

So, absolutely not- why would we set ourselves up to be persecuted? All because we wanted to sound tolerant: but America has gone past tolerance, and into acceptance and embracing something it should not.

The language of tolerance in the 90's was acceptable. There was "hate" against gay people, and that needed to be tempered. Hate is obviously not the way of the church: but what we are seeing today has gone too far- you don't hate gay people... but you certainly don't embrace the sin either. That's not acceptable.

And if you really think about it, when we had policies like "don't ask, don't tell", and laws against homosexual behavior; the only time those people could be prosecuted is when they took their sexual exploits public. Even in the bible days- to be stoned to death, you had to be caught in the act by more than one witness. Maybe gay people can restrain themselves from having gay-sex in front of 2 or 3 other people...

You are 100% correct, Sister Katy.

It has been appalling to see Christians continually persecuted in Australia for proclaiming the truths of God. Organisations are imposing beliefs that are using the guise of inclusiveness to maximise profits.

In the five years since same-sex marriage was legalised, LGBTQI movement has grown at an alarming rate in its influence. The attack on Christian schools is designed to prevent children from knowing and accepting Christ. It is insidious, and if left unchallenged I fear where it will end.

this is not new

Also, Sodom and Gomorrah had done it first. This was in Abrahams time.
Those cities were destroyed when there were not longer ten righteous people left.

The same thing is prophesied for the entire world, but thing is saying ppl will burn in hell wont deter them. Jesus can save, but everyone needs to know His love first. Not his wrath.

People were marrying and given in marriage right up until the day of Noahs flood. As such it will be the same until Jesus returns. Forbidding marriage (to either sex or gender) wont do anything.

The media love to shove it into our faces even commercials are pushing it. But if we Christians try to share our beliefs or say something against them we get lynched and told we are bigots'.

What else is new? Is there anyone who doesn't know this?
Well, I didn't know about the "respect for marriage act" (ugh... a disgusting name, considering the content) was passed by both houses, until i read this thread.

Of course homosexual marriage is wrong. That is elementary.

But the spirit that motivates Christians to impose religious ideals on unbelievers via a legal process is the same spirit that motivates Muslims to do the same. It’s evil and part of the great delusion God has sent.

If only the House of God would learn to, once again, celebrate when they are found to be worthy of persecution!

The murder wasn't right. Whoever committed it will pay beyond this life. But transgenderism is also against what the Bible teaches. Divorce is not wrong in certain cases according to the Bible. But it does say God hates divorce. I don't believe it was an instance for capital punishment in the Bible though. I suggest you read the Word if you believe there is nothing wrong with transgenderism.

Well according to the Word, things will get worse, not better. The national repentance the Bible talks of is for Israel. I don't believe this nation will come back to God. Nor any other nation. Wheat and the tares until that final day.

Laws are based on morality.
