What do christians do for fun these days?

Throw in a good old-fashioned argument about baptism and the rapture, and what you have here is a good old-fashioned Christian party! (The elderly person got pushed over because they disagreed with some teaching about the Millenium...)

Christians are known to fight over marshmallows.

Sports. Healthy fun and social. Well I admit that I meet no christians there or at work. But in my church only the kids do sport and the adults just do boring adult stuff. So I have to do sports with other people.
In general just go online and browse til You'RE find something you like near you. And there is always a forest or beach somewhere to go to.

Criminently! Keep it down! You'll attract the sharks. Roh_Chris and I are doing our best to keep the fences mended but if you keep laying out bait like that they'll just flat-out overrun the fences to get here and argue about stuff.

And Roh_Chris, bears do not chase lynx. They know enough to avoid a pointless exercise.

Tell non-Christians why the Christian worldview is correct. Defend the Christian worldview from false assertions made by non-Christian atheists, false religious adherents, and radically sexually immoral people who deliberately misinterpret the Bible in a vain and futile attempt to justify their immorality, change society into their immoral image, deny and replace our Christian heritage with a blatant skewed version riddled with outright fabrications, and persecute genuine Christians who won't veer from orthodox truth and the essentials of the Christian worldview.

Additionally, I expound on the present and future negative consequences arising from the political, socio-economic, socio-religious, etc... behaviors that the U.S. (and Western Civilization) are engaged in.

Finally, I educate Christians to build their understanding.

That's what I do for "fun these days" when I'm not engaged in anything related to Tolkien, fresh vegetables, and gourmet jelly beans .

Play pool with a few friends. Get a group together to go hiking. Take sight seeing rides in the country. Go swimming if its the right weather. Chat with people. Tennis, jogging, the gym, and window shopping all thru the local malls if one feels like it.

Unless Christian guys actually went there too.....Why don't they? Staying inside "being safe" doesn't do much more for you than that.

In the NW it seems to just be game nights (and hiking if you're lucky). Sadly, I don't see a lot of diversity in personalities/interests in church.

Never found clubs or bars fun. I like doing tons of other things... Stargazing, movies, museums, sporting events, road trips, just hanging out at a good restaurant or coffee shop in good company, exercising, and pursuing a variety of hobbies. Also, I am willing to try new stuff, but I would prefer to be with others familiar with this 'new' activity when I first try it.

Man, that does sound boring. They need video games, smartphones, Netflix and maybe even the most drastic measure... books!

Truth is, most non-christian people are just as bored/boring. All people talk about these days is the latest run on a mutual video game where they team up against another team, or the latest TV show that has been hyped by the latest streaming service.

Well... Many also talk a lot about how their boyfriends/girlfriends mistreat them. There is that too.

There are actually many different things the Christians I know do for fun. A friend of mine collects squishmallow (tm) owls. Her brother goes hiking and posts videos of it on youtube. My grandmother watches reruns of old Price is Right and Jeopardy, with a bit of Wheel of Fortune to leaven the mix.

One of my uncles apparently renovates his house for fun. He's always tinkering with this or building that or planting the other. When he gets bored with it he moves to a new house.

My father is a rockhound. Got lots and lots of precious and semiprecious and not so precious rocks, and some real factory-grade equipment for working on them. DO NOT talk to him about rocks. You won't get out of that conversation for hours.

Me, I'm a music nerd. All christian music but everything from bluegrass gospel to rap and country to heavy metal. DO NOT talk to me about music, for the same reason you don't talk to dad about rocks.

apparently christian guys play pool too but outside of church they forget they are christians....?!

why not just bring a pool table INTO church.

These days I like to listen to old sermons from those who had miracles, be in 2 zoom groups, go to yard sales, give stuff to the homeless and watch old series from the 70's including old TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) programs from the 70's thru 2000's.

40 hour famine and rough sleeping

This is when you willingly give up food for 40 hours and sleep rough for a night on a piece of cardboard to show solidarity with the starving and homeless.

You raise money for World Vision or City Mission,

City Mission also puts on a free christmas dinner every year. Open to everyone but you can volunteer as helper. Heaps of fun

The other is Angel Tree ministry, where you buy gifts for children of prisoners, or Samaritans purse, where you sort shoebox gifts to give to children who live in poverty.

Most churches have easter camps or summer gatherings. You can also go to conferences though they can cost money but what happens is well off christians will sponsor those who cant afford it.

Of course a christians definition of 'fun' will look absurd to a non believer. They be like wot.

Christians celebrate with light parties while non-christians prefer the dark.

This is fairly accurate actually. Some of the best fun I have ever seen is when my parents and another mother and father who were their friends would meet at either family's house for a night of playing rook, a card game.

To some people that would seem like the squarest of square parties, but it was loads of fun.
