and be Saved?

Matthew 6:21-25
[21] For where thy treasure is, there is thy heart also. [22] The light of thy body is thy eye. If thy eye be single, thy whole body shall be lightsome. [23] But if thy eye be evil thy whole body shall be darksome. If then the light that is in thee, be darkness: the darkness itself how great shall it be! [24] No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. [25] Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment?
Luke 16:11-15
[11] If then you have not been faithful in the unjust mammon; who will trust you with that which is the true? [12] And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's; who will give you that which is your own? [13] No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. [14] Now the Pharisees, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. [15] And he said to them: You are they who justify yourselves before men, but God knoweth your hearts; for that which is high to men, is an abomination before God.

Must love God, and others as well.

Matthew 22
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

and be Saved?

Matthew 6:21-25

Luke 16:11-15
Great question.

Would you say loving God is a requirement for salvation/eternal security? I think it is worth exploring what Biblical evidence there is supporting or not supporting the question.

Is verse 16 related to verse 15 in a cause and effect way?

If it is then it would essentially mean the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, wouldn’t be with those forever who don’t obey Jesus’ commands out of love.

John 14:15-17 KJV
15If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Your question is more subtle than just yes or no, so it seems.

Psalms 68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

Flee??? Where to?? Flee before him??? As though being chased???/
